In a picturesque village that is tottally worth the visit, the eight bells inn is in a house older than 400 years! We had the kings room that was very clean and spacy!the quality level of the food served and the variety is impressive.very cosy, very nice people and very good value always in english standards

having visited the eight bells recently found the pub to be cosy and friendly but on close inspection there were signs up on the bar and other places stating that any one with a local postcode got a discount on food orders whats wrong with visitors getting discounts I would say anyone now a days should be grateful that they... Had a very enjoyable visit to The Eight Bells on a busy Saturday night just after the New Year. We'd booked up the day before after calling in for an afternoon drink & this was probably a wise move as the place was full on arrival the following evening. The food was excellent (we both chose from options on the... More

We stayed here during our travel across the Cotswold in April this year. The exterior of the property is charming and the restaurant retained that great atmosphere of an old English pub. Our room (we stayed in room 7 if I remember correctly) is average, adequate size for a short time stay. As we dont stay in our room very... More

We stayed in room 7 for one night. The room itself is a decent size and had a lot of character. The bathroom was spacious, with a bath & shower. The breakfast was faultless. We both ordered salmon and loose eggs with toast on the side. We would definitely stay here again.

Very much enjoyed our family get-together at the Eight Bells for a long weekend. Good value for money, great pub food ... good atmosphere and wonderful staff. Well kept english pub the best in Chipping Campden ... yes we tried them all. The Landlord and Bar Manger were very welcoming. Lots of character and decorated nicely for Christmas without being... Unfortunately, I was only here for one night. A truly smashing little gem of a place, filled with character, real ales, food and warmth. The town could host Christmas all year round, as could this Inn. Landlord was welcoming, room was good, and the barmaid even tightened the sparkler to pour me a Yorkshire pint! Breakfast was great - I... More

Just spent the weekend in Chipping Camden - what a lovely Cotswolds town, one of the nicest we have stayed in and we have stayed at quite a few....! Managed to park in the High Street just along from the Eight Bells Inn, we didn't know it was a one way street but found a space along in the high... More

Decent pub grub and friendly staff. A quieter dining area or options to eat in the bar itself. The usual suspects on the menu- roasts, burger, fish and chips. The starters are more varied. Good staff and a friendly 'local' atmosphere - hard to achieve in quite a touristy location. Good for informal family supper. Didn't stay so couldn't rate... More

Good food that was a definite step above pub food and a nice selection of ales. Met a lot of locals which said a lot for the food and atmosphere---friendly staff lead by the very polished and convivial owner. Definitely a place to return to and to recommend. Hint:--make a table reservation as they book quickly then show a little... More
