Went here on recommendation as a party of 7, 3 from the USA. The place ticks all the boxes from the quaint, old pub perspective. We had service and food quality issues, which after raising with the manager were suitably addressed. The remainder of the party were suitably appeased and although I accept she did her best (and was clearly... More

We should have stayed here for three nights and only stayed for one. We were in room 6 which was over the refrigerated area and beer store. We did not mind the noise of the changing of the beer barrels as it stopped when the pub closed. The fridge motor though was going on all night long and kicking in... More

As stated in my email to you, we are dreadfully sorry for the experience that you and your husband had during your recent visit to the eight bells. I feel compelled to explain the situation more fully on this public forum (a first for us!) in addition to the explanatory and apologetic email already sent to you on the day... More

Had Sunday lunch here, and whilst the food was tasty, the portions were meagre relative to the price. The plate of veg served with the roast was miserable and miserly (it consisted of some over cooked broccoli and mashed swede).

Popped in for family Sunday lunch. Table booked in bar area. Menu was varied but opted for Sunday roast. Food was great and fresh. Service excellent. Polite attentive staff. Bar area popular and busy. Good choice of ales and beers on tap. Would recommend booking if visiting for food and if popping in for a drink plan on standing as... More

We were a party of three - and we took the King Room with Sofa bed and stayed at the lovely little inn for one evening. It is the oldest establishment in Chipping Campden, we were told! The room was cozy, clean and comfortable. We were provided with the usual selection of hot drinks and were pleasantly surprised by the... More

Chipping Campden is a delightful medieval village in the Cotswolds, that despite its popularity as a tourist site, is lovely and low key. Our decision was to stay at an old pub, and that is exactly what Eight Bells Inn was - just as we had hoped. The rooms were more than adequate and the baths, clearly additions, were very... More

Just picked this at random in Chipping Camden, the Eight Bells is just what it says it is a decent pub with rooms selling good beer and excellent food. It is one of the best that we have stayed at, the room was excellent comfortable bed and ll the trimmings. Bathroom newly decorated or at least it looked like it... More

The menu is varied. Seating is relaxed next to the bar. We had asparagus, soup and an Indian dish. All very good. Asparagus are locally grown. We thought we saw a plot of land in the centre with asparagus😉. Service is friendly and correct. Prices are medium ranged. The place is located just a bit of the high street.

We have just come back from a fabulous 4 nights in Chipping Campden Glos, our home was the Eight Bells. We are not travellers blinded by the beauty of this Cotswold town but visitors that grew up and went to school in th area. We are also not strangers to the Eight Bells as we both frequented the 'pub' back... More
