After changing from a rather pokey "cottage" room with an odd odour our room in the main house (203) was very nice. Staff pleasant and nice breakfasts with local produce. Didn't eat in the evening here but the bar is somewhat lacking in atmosphere and way too bright. On the whole pretty good if rather expensive at £150 a night.

I would definitely recommend Chipping Campden for a quiet, romantic WE! The hotel is in a very good location and convenient parking available. Very kind staff (reception and restaurant). Tasty breakfast with good options. I particularly recommend having dinner here. Very nice nice atmosphere and great food, both partridge and fish! Regarding the room, the rear cottage is quiet and... Wonderful very elegantly presented hotel with a wonderful restaurant and menu. Rooms are very comfortable and individual, interior design being cleverly applied Situated in the heart of Chipping Camden and perfectly located for the delights of the Cotwolds The hotel is very well furnished with period items and the restaurant a very pleasant atmosphere and food of the highest quality... Stayed in one of the cottages (Broadway), very nice room with lovely furniture, full of character, good bathroom. Great fluffy towels and nice selection of toiletries and hot drinks in the room. Breakfast was sumptuous (good quality bacon, orange juice and preserves) and made a great start to the day. Rooms comfortable and warm. Would definitely return. Off-street parking available... More

Very good service from the duty manager upon arrival. There was no small / occasional table in the room but this was quickly rectified. We booked to include dinner on both nights and we were not disappointed. The partridge was excellent and although the lamb was a little too pink for my taste it was perfectly delicious. Breakfast choice was... More

This was a very classy hotel. We stayed in the cottage out back and the interior was one of the most beautiful, with honey colored brick walls, old wooden ceiling beams, and some chic furniture. The bathroom also felt luxurious, with a spacious jet tub and large rain shower. The staff were helpful and breakfast was also excellent. My wife... More

We attended a wedding and stayed two nights in room 201, the room was very small, and certainly didn't warrant the £160.00 per night price. Mattress was cheap and uncomfortable, there was a large step down into bathroom which was quite dangerous if you needed to go in the night. The fixtures and fittings were average to say the least,... I booked a one night stay at The Kings Hotel as a surprise for my husband, and one of our daughters and her partner joined us. We were welcomed at reception by a very friendly member of staff, with checking in being quick and easy and we were then shown to ojur rooms in the cottage to the rear of... More
