This was a very classy hotel. We stayed in the cottage out back and the interior was one of the most beautiful, with honey colored brick walls, old wooden ceiling beams, and some chic furniture. The bathroom also felt luxurious, with a spacious jet tub and large rain shower. The staff were helpful and breakfast was also excellent. My wife... More

We attended a wedding and stayed two nights in room 201, the room was very small, and certainly didn't warrant the £160.00 per night price. Mattress was cheap and uncomfortable, there was a large step down into bathroom which was quite dangerous if you needed to go in the night. The fixtures and fittings were average to say the least,... I booked a one night stay at The Kings Hotel as a surprise for my husband, and one of our daughters and her partner joined us. We were welcomed at reception by a very friendly member of staff, with checking in being quick and easy and we were then shown to ojur rooms in the cottage to the rear of... More

Went for dinner here on a romantic weekend away. Starter was absolutely gorgeous. Main was nice but the partridge was quite tough and the veggies could have been cooked for longer. Cheese board was yum. Wine was one of the best bottles ever...we went with the managers recommendation for the Pinot Noir from New Zealand. I could have had about... More

We stayed one night at the hotel on our way home from visiting relatives. The reception staff were very welcoming and showed us to our room, which had a bay window overlooking the rear garden. The room was very comfortable, it had a large slay bed. There were complementary bottles of water and apples. The bathroom was quite large with nice toiletries, but... What should and could be a good small hotel was spoilt by poorly trained staff. The tone was set on arrival when our presence was ignored by a manager who instead of welcoming us and checking us in shoved a registration form in front of a member of the bar staff and brusquely instructed her what to do. She was... More

The hotel was beautifully appointed. We were staying in the 'cottage' and the room and bathroom were lovely. Bed was divinely comfy and lots of little extras in the room e.g. fresh apples and water. The food was gorgeous and the staff so helpful and friendly
