Reviews Summary
This summary was created by AI, based on recent reviews.
Powered by AI
The Noel Arms Hotel charms with its quaint atmosphere and period features, yet some travelers feel it falls short on value, citing unexpected charges and pricey services. Guest opinions on service vary, with mentions of both commendable staff interactions and frustratingly slow responses. While the hotel is lauded for its cleanliness and friendly staff, the rooms receive mixed reviews for their characterful but outdated decor and noise concerns. Amenities are appreciated, though calls for room and breakfast enhancements are noted.

Stopped here on route to our destination, made very welcome by the staff with our 2 dogs .Sat in the conservatory which was very cosy on a cold windy day. We had the chef’s special curries which were amazing. Would highly recommend this hotel .

We just spent a couple of days staying at the Noel Arms Hotel. What a great place for a weekend break. Rooms were very comfortable and had all the amenities you need and great that you can park in the centre of Chipping Camden without worry. The staff were great, especially those on reception who couldn’t do enough for you and were very helpful and welcoming. We had dinner on our first night and it surpassed expectations - the pigeon salad starter in particular was outstanding. Lovely to have so many dogs around as well! Great value for money and can’t really fault it. We will definitely be back!

Fantastic meal on a Sunday evening. Frenchie was the best server I’ve ever had. Knew the menu. Had checked our dietary requirements and had the cocktail menu off the end of her tongue. Very knowledgeable and friendly. Amazing! Thank you lovely.

We had a fantastic time staying at the Noel’s arms. The rooms was lovely with good black out curtains. The dinner was fantastic from a Sri Lanka chef. I would recommend trying a curry. Breakfast was also amazing I would recommend trying the home made granola. The chef and staff were really helpful regarding catering for my husband’s medical diet. All the staff were welcoming and friendly. We enjoyed watching the rugby in the bar and use of the spa at The Cotswold hotel. However we had a poor experience eating at the Cotswold hotel and I would definitely not recommend eating there. The food was really disappointing and the service not good. The couple on the table next to us walked out when they saw our meal. I wish we had too!

Very disappointed, had to wait an age at the bar for someone to actually turn up and serve. Single G&T, Pint of Bitter and a bag of crisps = £18.10! WOW felt utterly ripped off! A shame as the place looks lovely, especially out the back on a warm evening.

What a great find for us… from the lovely friendly welcome to great bar and breakfast service which was delicious and all local produce. It was a super location and although maybe a bit tired to some we loved the authenticity of the whole experience and can’t wait to return. Thankyou

I found this little coffee shop in November when I was in need of a half hour pit stop between clients- i am a carer do time is very limited. I walked in and asked if I could come in of I wasn’t a guest. I was met by Trudi who was so warm and welcoming and said ‘of course you can- come on in’ and so i do 2/3 times a week for half an hour. Trudi and Gemima are friendly and efficient and will go the extra mile to ensure I don’t have to wait for my coffee- knowing i have to shoot back off. IF the ladies have time we have a chat but it is such a busy and popular hotel and coffee shop that the ladies really do work flat out Thank you for making me feel so welcome and in accommodating me knowing I am on short time. The staff really do deserve recognition for their hard work 😊

We’ve stayed here several years for their inclusive Christmas break, so know the hotel well Pluses: warm, comfortable traditional hotel/pub with log fire in the bar; cheerful efficient waiting staff for whom nothing is too much trouble; helpful reception staff; lovely food; super-comfortable bed; the conservatory dining area, lounge, and rooms are dog friendly Minuses: The furnishings are in need of TLC - the piping on the upholstery on the lounge armchairs was worn away and hanging loose; one armchair in our room was still threadbare since our previous visit; another armchair was grubby; two children in a big family party ran round shouting unchecked and dangerously in the dining area, despite hot food and drink being carried by waiting staff (we thought that guests’ pooches were quieter and better behaved!); the meal on Christmas night consisted of rather mean “plates” rather than the very generous help-yourself buffets of previous years; the request to pick your breakfast menu the night before rather than on the morning was irritating We understand the pressures that the hospitality trade is under at the moment, but small things matter

We stayed the night here en route south. The hotel is great, convenient car park, pleasant, efficient staff, cosy atmosphere in an historic inn. Our room was comfortable and very clean. The food was very good with generous portions. The service and excellent and breakfast served in the dining area was very good too. The village itself is a delight with a good number of super independent shops. A most pleasant experience and highly recommended.

We had a long weekend at the Noel Arns and what a wonderful experience. The hotel is well situated for trips to the likes of Broadway, Stratford, Bourton on the Water and Chipping Norton. The bar and restaurant are excellent - you must try the curry… award winning for a reason!! And the staff are all welcoming, friendly and really do make sure your stay is the best it can be. We also used the spa at the Cotswolds House Hotel just opposite which was great too! Thanks all at the Noel Arms we would hesitate to come back!
