I stay in hotels throughout the UK every week of the year on business. I have never been to Doncaster so I used an agent to find me a hotel. I was allocated the Regent Hotel. What a disaster! This place is the worst hotel I have stayed in ever. It is located in a pleasant part of the town... more

Well, as far as I've understood this should be one of the best hotels in Doncaster. Let me start with the good things: -Staff is great: they really try to help. Example: They helped me carrying my heavy suitcase to the room, they put my stuff in their fridge - Breakfast is nice and included in the room price. There's... more

Average type of hotel. Bedrooms reasonable size with unusual but attractive colour schemes. Some only showers. TV poor choice. Main problems heat and noise. External rooms get a lot of road noise early in the morning and internal ones have constant noise from air-conditioning plant outside. Unfortunately the bedrooms are not air-conditioned and mine was uncomfortably hot. Breakfast Ok and... more

Stayed here whilst travelling on business on a Thursday night, I was given a double room with en suite. Unfortunately it seemed a nearby bar (was part of hotel) had a live acoustic band on evening I arrived - now they did sound good and did a great Stevie Wonder - Superstition, but when you've been up since 4am and... more

Rooms: The room was very clean, spacious and quite modern after a recent refurbishment. Food & Drink: Breakfast was ok but it comes free with the room so that’s a plus. Drinks at the bar were relatively cheap and the Abbey Road bar downstairs is well worth a look. Staff: Very friendly and efficient no problems at all. Overall: A... more

The Hotel has had a recent refurbishment since our last stay and has a very modern feel to it. As in prevoius stays the staff were very fiendly and always happy to help and chat to us. We took evening meal in the Restaurant and Breakfast which was absolutely gorgeous! Compliments to the Chef!!! We will definately return next year... more

We stopped at the hotel for one night. When we arrived we parked our car in the secure car park and made our way to the reception, we were greeted by polite, friendly staff. We were checked in with no problems at all and the recpetionist showed us to our room. We seemed to pass through a lot of corridors,... more

After a day at Doncaster races the Regent seemed to be the perfect hotel, due to it's location and the peaceful and scenic settting ,opposite a small park. First impressions were good, the reception and entrance were all recently refurbished and had a very modern look, and this was next to a very sophisticated small bar area which led onto... more

Hotel has recently been refurbished. There is a club in the basement which started up (on the Saturday that we were staying there) at around 7pm. We were in our room when some seriously loud music started blaring up through the floor! Fortunately we were going out - if we had planned to stay in (or come back for an... more
