My husband booked a room here (not a hotel chain we have heard of before) 2 days before the St Ledger meeting at Doncaster race course, bit last minute, which does make you wonder why a good hotel would have any rooms left prior to so many people descending on a city for such an event? as you drive into... more

How I wish I had remembered to check Trip Advisor before booking this hotel - the warning of "west country walker" would at worst have forewarned us of what to expect, or at best we would not even have booked the place. However, my colleague and I booked at fairly short notice and unlike a number of other hotels in... more

The staff were all very helpful and friendly. That's the good bit... My room was at the back of a block. T get to it I had to walk through a passage which smelt of urine and also had a nasty sticky puddle in it. It was dark when I arrived, and I had problems making my rather worn key... more

Small square rooms with stippled walls and ceiling. The tap came away from the sink in my hand. Not a great room but it is near the The Dome, the races and the football ground. A bit annoying that other guests were charged £44 yet we had to pay £60. Surely a rate is a rate or have they followed... more

After our afternoon flight out of Doncaster airport was cancelled due to inclement weather, the lady at the information point advised us to stay in the Campanile and at £43 for a twin room for the night I didn't think we could go wrong. The property itself is an American motel type establishment with each room door facing the parking... more

Well, where to start? We have actually stayed at this hotel previously on a few occasions prior to this. FINAL STRAW! It's always been heavily overpriced and poorly run but unfortunately if you're unable to drive and want something close to the Doncaster Dome this was the best option (or so we thought). This place has a weekend deal of... more

The twin room was small, poky, dark, smelled of damp, the beds were too soft and it could have done with a lick of paint. The single plug socket was hidden behind a curtain under the window and took us 20 minutes and a phone call to reception to locate. The "cooked breakfast", priced at £6.25 consisted of one rasher... more

Fine for a short stopover/ business stay etc. Stayed here for one night whilst in the area for a family occasion. The room was fairly basic but clean and comfortable with a welcome kettle and coffee/tea supply. The restaurant was really pleasant and we ate dinner and breakfast there. The food was good value and was plentiful and tasty. The... more

a little basic, but not too bad overall. With your own key-card, access was available at any time. A selection of sky channels helped the time pass. The room was cosy and i could have stayed longer if need be. more
