We returned for our second stay within a week and what a difference in the level of service experienced in both the bar and restaurant - coincidence? Perhaps but a great improvement all-round. We enjoyed another beautiful, spacious, four-poster room, although this time it was only a double and not a king-size, situated on the back of the hotel with... more

This hotel was recommended by colleagues. It is slightly out of Doncaster but there are good transport links. Rooms are spacious and some are a little quirky, mine had a water bed! Big TV, free wireless internet and large bathroom. We ate in the bar the first night, a bit pricey but worth every penny. Superb food and very good... more

Stayed here for a wedding at the begin of Sept, which was great but the hotel stay has not left a lasting impression. I have stayed in many hotels but this hotel is very strange in the layout and the styl, I would say what style. The outside looks very country looking and some pats of the inside are the... more

I did read with interest your comments placed, my apologies for the hotel not being to your preferred tastes. Also with regard to your comments for breakfast we do have 30+ cold items on our cold breakfast buffet, and certainly with the hot breakfast you could have had as much hot breakfast as you would have liked, but obviously you...

I could not beleive the size of my room and began to worry that I had misheard the price - £59 B&B The bedroom was huge with a large sitting area, comfy sofa and Sky Sports! The bathroom was the size of some bedrooms I have had the misfortune to stay in. There was a separate, walk in shower ,as... more

We stayed in a delightful room, beautifully furnished with a sofa and desk in addition to the stunning four poster bed. The large bathroom was clean and well equipped and everything worked well. I even had a manicure in the Therapie Studio, very theraputic but I was lucky to be fitted in, advance appointments recommended! Breakfast was delicious and the... more

We have just returned from a much needed long weekend break. We deliberately chose a fully inclusive hotel, (Dinner, Bed and Breakfast) so that we could relax and have a good break without looking for places to eat. The AA 4 star gave us confidence that this was a good choice. When we arrived we were pleased with the room... more

The completed questionnare given at the hotel only mentions punctuality which I sympathasise and nothing else. No other comments were made at the time.

Reception staff could have been more welcoming but the room more than made up for it. We chose an executive room which was huge with a really comfy bed, a truly fantastic bathroom and a comfortable sofa. Only negatives were that one of the large fluffy towels was not large and fluffy but threadbare and scruffy however everything was spotless... more

One stand out feature of my stay was the room (no.224). It was great, has to be the one of the nicest and biggest rooms I have stayed in. Everything was very clean and the bathroom matched the size of the bedroom. I had dinner in the restaurant which on the whole was fairly good, nothing startling but acceptable. Can't... more

First impressions fabulous. A complimentary upgrade to a junior suite was very welcome and the room and bathroom were stunning. We may just have been unlucky as our first night was Easter Monday and there had been a wedding on in the afternoon, but our meal was nowhere near as good as an AA Rosette would indicate. The final straw... more

We have stayed at The Mount Pleasant 3 times and always have had a beautiful room. Half their rooms are Junior suites and they are very reasonably priced. The room is huge with beautiful furnishings and a flat screen TV. The large bathroom had a separate shower and a bath with underwater lights! more
