First impressions fabulous. A complimentary upgrade to a junior suite was very welcome and the room and bathroom were stunning. We have stayed at The Mount Pleasant 3 times and always have had a beautiful room. Half their rooms are Junior suites and they are very reasonably priced. The room is huge with beautiful furnishings and a flat screen TV. The large bathroom had a separate shower and a bath with underwater lights! more

The hotel although a little out of town was well worth the journey, on arrival it had a superb lounge area which reall y set the standard for the visit , i did recieve a free upgrade from an executive room to ajunior suite which certainly made the price I paid worth the money. We booked a break on the basis of the restaurant having a food rosette, so were very disappointed to find the meal we had was more like a pub bar meal than what one would expect in a four star hotel. We stayed at this hotel for a last minute one night weekend break. For a 4 star hotel in England the rooms are very nice.
