Wednesday night is two for one! Great value, well cooked food presented tidily and delivered by smiling staff. I had the cheeseburger and my friend had the scampi (we didn't take advantage of the two for one offer) and were very satisfied. I'll definitely come here again when I'm passing through.

Nice little place, paid £85 for BB per night, room was fine bathroom, tv, very quiet just 20 yards from main building. Couldn't get a taxi for the races though had to pre book, but the barmaids son gave us a lift their for £25! It's about half an hour to racecourse, breakfasts ok typical weatherspoons, I would definitely go... More

I booked this accommodation only an hour or so before arriving. The staff were lovely and helpful on arrival and even allowed me to park my motorbike under the pub archway at the rear of the pub to save getting drenched yet again after a very wet day on the road. My room was overlooking the rear courtyard and was... More

Great meeting place in the heart of the village. A wonderfully preserved building with old charm pub atmosphere. A good range of beers, great lunch and dinner menu, friendly and helpful staff. A good base for local sightseeing in an area steeped in history, particularly religious history. Well worth a visit for a stay, a meal or a beer!

Booked the cottage suite for one night on a Saturday. This was £85 per night. The bed is 2 singles pushed together, no sign of a decent topper to bridge the gap or stop you feeling the edges of the individual mattresses. Carpets weren't clean, bathroom also was not clean. The shower could do with a decent scrub as it... More

We love the individual character of the rooms in Wetherspoon inns. The newly opened hotel rooms at the Red Lion have real character. Ours was incredibly quiet, given the town centre location (we stayed at weekend), with good facilities and efficient housekeeping. The only slight niggle was that, because there are only 14 rooms, there is not a dedicated reception... More

Stayed 1 night here, the inn is nice and the staff are pleasant. The dining room is nice. The food is good and not overly expensive! And the beer is kept well. The room I stayed in was very basic and fairly clean! Now for the not so good, the breakfast was very basic with what I could see only... More

My husband and I stayed at the red lion in Epworth and it was a great pleasure to stay there the staff were all helpful, considerate and mostly very pleasant people. We will be staying again at some point. The rooms are very clean and we had a good nights sleep.

Quaint old coaching inn. Rooms are ok but a it on the small size. Should have been in the cottage suite but they had no record off the booking so had a standard room. Beds abit lumpy and the shower takes a while to warm up. Breakfast was good with plenty of toast and tea or coffee. Village is pretty... More

Just had a 2 night stay at the Red Lion and can thoroughly recommend the place. Ill get the niggles out of the way first, the shower looks like it has a back wash type thing on it but it was broken, the 'double bed' was two singles pushed together and that's about it. The pub itself is not the... More
