My husband and I stayed at the red lion in Epworth and it was a great pleasure to stay there the staff were all helpful, considerate and mostly very pleasant people. We will be staying again at some point. The rooms are very clean and we had a good nights sleep.

Visitited this newly renovated hotel. What a superb job has been done. The rooms are a very high specification and unbelievable value for money. The huge downstairs is bright and airy. Huge glass sliding doore leading to an excellent outdoor seating area. Well planned and imaginative. Great selection of drinks as you would expect from a Weatherspoon outlet together with... More

Quaint old coaching inn. Rooms are ok but a it on the small size. Should have been in the cottage suite but they had no record off the booking so had a standard room. Beds abit lumpy and the shower takes a while to warm up. Breakfast was good with plenty of toast and tea or coffee. Village is pretty... More

Just had a 2 night stay at the Red Lion and can thoroughly recommend the place. Ill get the niggles out of the way first, the shower looks like it has a back wash type thing on it but it was broken, the 'double bed' was two singles pushed together and that's about it. The pub itself is not the... More

We enjoyed 2 nights in room 202 the Cottage Suite. We ate in the pub on the first evening the food was good. Breakfast was very nice and good quality. In terms of feedback an information sheet in the room would have helped with info about breakfast and check out times etc. A bit more attention to detail would have... More

Stayed via a groupon deal, only 35 pounds for a double room and breakfast. Found the staff extremely friendly and welcoming, the room very clean and smart. Went down for dinner and had probably the best meal out we have ever had! Would strongly recommend a visit. Lovely village too!

A really warm welcome on arrival and our bags taken up to our very well-appointed and spotlessly clean accommodation. A full english breakfast in the morning, with other breakfast choices available should you require it. A really great two day break where the staff could not have been more helpful. We certainly would recommend the hotel and it is our... More

My husband and I have just returned from a weekend away ( bought through Groupon) at The Red Lion Epworth and we can't rate it highly enough! We arrived around half past six on Friday evening and found the pub itself to be warm, friendly and inviting. We booked in and were shown to our room which was large and... More

After reading all the reviews on here before we went this weekend, we were all really excited about the Groupon break. We got there one of the staff members shouted out as we were checking in "make sure they pay" which is not good customer service. We had no issues with our cottage suite rooms. We sat down on Friday... More

Lovely hotel with nice food and friendly staff. We were working in the area and stayed here, there is everything you need with in walking distance. Restaurants, shops, cash machines. All with in a minutes walk in this lovely village. Perfect location for contractors or just a short break.
