My wife and I booked a groupon deal and whilst booking was asked to upgrade to the St Ledger suite. Well worth the upgrade, the room was enormous practically an apartment! The staff were very friendly in deed and the whole atmosphere of the pub/hotel was excellent. We had drinks and an evening meal in the hotel and had a... More

My husband and I have just returned from our 2 night Groupon deal. A great traditional pub in a lovely little town. We received a really warm welcome, the room we stayed in was one of the standard ones, which was very clean and comfortable, it only had a shower in the en-suite, my husband prefers a bath, hey ho... My family who live 60 miles away have stayed here numerous times over the last 15 years - my daughter & friends come regularly on a Friday night for the nightlife & good food - the staff are wonderful - the rooms are full of character and very clean & tidy - I would have no hesitation in recommending

We stayed there over night for a child free break. We arrived to friendly faces and lovely service. Our room was clean and very nice and comfortable. We ate in the bar for our evening meal. My husband had a lovely fillet steak and I had a meal off the special board. The food was gorgeous and the staff were... More

Don't like giving bad reviews, but unfortunately we've no option. Very tired - 1980 pine furniture that creaked as we moved! Very uncomfortable beds - though the bedding was clean! Very tatty - The bath panel was broken, the tiles had been regrouted over the top with mastic which was split and filthy and the mixer tap shower temperature control... More

Had a one night stay here on a Groupon deal. Lovely service on arrival, instantly felt a welcoming place. Had upgraded to St Ledger Suite which was well worth it. Wow!! Amazing set of rooms - an apartment almost. Big comfy sofas, huge bedroom with an exceedingly large en-suite with bath & separate shower. Just a shame that the jacuzzi... More

We were greeted in the pub by very friendly staff. It is a great pub, with a roaring fire and a traditional, homely feel. We upgraded to the cottage suite and was told it was an annex to the hotel. This wasn't a problem at all and the room was nice and clean. The double bed was two single beds... More

Arrived at this homely pub for a one night stay and was greeted with a very welcome bottle of Cava on ice. We had upgraded our double room prior to arrival and found our suite to far exceed our expectations. The rooms were very well appointed with beautiful furniture. We had a king size bed with lots of pillows &... More
