I stayed here in September to watch the Britbowl at the Keepmoat Stadium. It is a budget hotel but is far far nicer than Premier Inns or Travelodges and the like...really how it should be done. Location is just outside Doncaster city centre, about a 5 minute taxi ride at a cost of around £5. It wasan ideal location for... more

Stayed for 2 nights - got a brilliant deal 2 nights b&b with dinner on 1st night, booked through laterooms. On arrival the hotel did seem a little out of the way and does look like a giant portacabin! Inside the reception, bar and restaurant are all in the same place. The rooms are big, clean and could not find... more

A trip to Doncaster on Business found me in this average hotel. To be fair the room was large with a decent en-suite and free wireless internet. The staff were enthusiastic but avarage. But the food in the restaurant was really not that great - large in size but that was the only good thing about it. Later in the... more

I'm currently staying at the Park Inn Doncaster (I believe it used to be under a different name until recently, but not sure why the name hasn't been changed on here?) & have stayed here several times over the past 2 months when I have needed to travel to Doncaster on business. The hotel is ideally located for my company,... more

looking for a cheap, clean place to stay in doncaster while in town for a reunion, we gave the purple a try, and was very pleased indeed with the outcome. there seemed plenty of parking spaces, the room was spotless with tea/coffee making facilities, staff were friendly and the buffet breakfast was very edible, topped with what I thought was... more

My second stay in Doncaster, and a much better hotel than last time. Modern and clean with good service. But the restaurant was overpriced with poor food - we'd have done better across the road at KFC or Pizza Hut! more

This is a basic hotel but it is nicer and cleaner than a travelodge. The beds are comfy and the breakfast was good. The only problem that we had was with one rude member of staff who worked on the bar at night. The other staff were very friendly. Also... we paid a little bit extra for an executive room... more

It was the wives 40th Birthday, friends coming from all over the place so decided to stay at the Purple Hotel in Doncaster, it is a new hotel and more or less straight of the M18 junction 3 we found the staff smart and very very friendly, they had given us a complete corridor of rooms and allowed it to... more

The building is perhaps the worst design I have ever seen, it is basically a big yellow portacabin. As it is relatively new its not too bad, but I suspect it will go down hill rapidly, if I go back to Doncaster I would select one of the Premier Inn's just a few yards away. The location is poor really,... more

This hotel is very clean and modern. The staff were very helpful and were happy to give us directions etc when we asked. The hotel is opposite a designer outlet village. We were able to walk to and from Doncaster Dome for a concert in about 15 minutes each way. The room was very clean and comfortable and the bathroom... more
