For such a large place, this hotel provided good service and good value for money. Restaurant / bar was perfectly adequate (more Beefeater than haute cuisine) and the rooms were well equipped and comfortable (although I hate those soap dispensers on the walls - cheap and tacky). Free WiFi was a plus point.
Service was very good, but I could...

Overall a comfortable hotel for the business or leisure traveller. The staff are really helpful, pleasant and efficient.
Just what you need after a hard day!
The food is above average for this type of place in both the bar & restaurant.
However, beware the room walls and floor are paper thin, either I had an elephant staying above me...

Thank you for the feedback. My maintenance team have been revoewing all of the doors in the wing you stayed and have adjusted accordingly. There is a fine balance between security, fire safety and of course sleep and you were right to bring this to my attention. Thank you and we look forward to welcoming you again soon.

Check in was fast and prompt, and staff are very friendly, rooms are clean and with good decor apart from being a bit dark, as hotel guests you have full use of gym and pool which is always a bonus can get noisy if staying on weekends with party goers and thin plasterboard walls don't help but overall you cant...

Stayed Saturday 5th May. The Hotel is what you would expect for price.
The staff were cheerful and polite
I felt slightly conned that I booked their More room as it was not much different from Standard rooms at the Village Solihull.
Also Staff should always ensure that towels are not stained. It does not matter if they were laundered,...

My second visit to this hotel as it is the only half decent hotel in the area. Wish there was more choice. Last time I stayed in an annex type area that was nice and quiet, this time I had a room in the main area and therefore a more representative visit. This darkly lit hotel has been made out...

Your comments have been discussed with both my bmaintenance and housekeeping team. In terms of door security, there is a fine...

I have been a regular visitor to the Village Hotel for a few years now, but due to ill health, have not been in Dudley for about 7 months. I stayed there last night and was thrilled at the reception given to me when checking in. Carl and Carrie remembered me, knew that I hadn't been visiting for a while,...

rather jaded and dated, expensive drinks and no atmosphere, breakfast average to good. To be honest I was glad to leave. Premier inn or Travel lodge are preferable Silver
Silverstrummer - Really dissapointed to read your comments and we are sorry that VILLAGE Dudley didn't meet your expectations on this occasion. I am unsure which night you stayed but I don't see a hotel that is dated, jaded or lacking in atmosphere. I guess it depends upon your reference point and of course, we respect your personal opinions. Fortunately...

Stayed 2 nights over Easter weekend, B&B for £118. This is an OK hotel - typical Village style of black wallpaper and gloomy decor, Starbucks coffee (Yuk!), tribute acts and Sky Sports on huge TV screens in the bar. If this is your thing then you will be OK. Nice thing about the Village chain is that they have leisure...
