Having booked in to the quality hotel earlier and was very dissatisfied we found this gem of a hotel. Upon arrival Jackie and her hubby made us feel really welcome. Such a lovely warm feel to the place and run brilliantly, we were shown every needed aspect of area and hotel, which you can't get in places like holiday inn,... More

This was the first time we tried staying here and will come again. We were checked in by Jackie who was very friendly and welcoming. My room was cleam, comfortable, well stocked with an ensuite. The bathroom was smart and clean and the shower was good. The hotel has its own off road parking. There is also a nice outside... More

Quaint, historic village. There is a great pub 4 minutes walk away which serves excellent meat pies and fish and chips. We are stopping in to do some genealogy research. Both of us have ancestors from adjoining villages. There was a mass exodus from here in the mid 1800's. Many were coal miners and went to PA for work.

Stayed there for just one night, but it was a lovely place to stay, the garden and flowers look beautiful and inside was tastefully decorated and excellently maintained. The people there was very thoughtful and welcoming. A very pleasant stay and will probably stay there again when the next air show is on.

We booked room only as we were going to an evening event. The hotel was a lovely large victorian house with a carpark accessed by side street. The room was huge and comfortable (memory foam matress) with shower room ensuite. The lady was friendly and explained that there was a fridge for residents to use as well as crockery and... More

Stayed one night with a friend in this lovely hidden jewel. Very warm and welcoming and would definitely be staying again. Owner Jackie was very friendly and helpful. Room was cosy with a very comfortable bed and had a good nights sleep. Handy for proximity of local tourist attractions.

I stayed at the Silverdale with a friend for one night because of the proximity to Wolverhampton, where we were attending a course. We had a lovely spacious spotlessly clean room. The beds were wonderfully comfortable. The owner made us feel very welcome. The hotel itself was excellent, I can't fault it, but we had a room at the front... More

Very clean, basic accommodation. Not in the best of areas with a very limited choice of food within walking distance.Felt uncomfortable after walking into pie factory pub so ate at takeaway across road. Breakfast was adequate with cereal, milk (in flask but delivered early evening for use next morning,) fruit and very sugary pastry. Shower cubicle a little tight and... More
