Arriving mid evening on a cold and miserable wet November Friday, after being delayed on the M6 was not a good start to our weekend. Neither was being faced by three out of four parking spaces being occupied and the fourth barred against us. We didn't fancy lugging our cases in from the nearby public car park! However, it turned... More

Stayed here for one night. It was a Saturday.....beware if staying in rooms 1 to 15 as these rooms face the main road and directly opposite 'Revolution' bar which is quite noisy until early hours. Had a disturbed nights sleep even though a set of ear plugs were provided in a bed side drawer so this is something the establishment... More

Retrofitting a historic listed building from 1785 as a contemporary boutique hotel is a difficult feat to achieve, especially as you have to retain the architectural integrity of the original. Penny Street Bridge Hotel is a delight. The bedrooms, with enormous high ceilings are almost cubic in dimension. Not a lot of floor space, but enough to feel comfortable and... More

We stayed here for a family weekend, all the girls celebrating the 60th of my aunty. I emailed a few hotels to find out what they had in the way of disabled facilities before we booked and then I asked my aunty which hotel she preferred. She opted for Penny Street Bridge and so I got on and booked it.... More

We stayed here for 3 nights and chose it because it was half way between two places where we have family and friends. We found it hard work to park, and payed a fortune the first night. The rest of the stay, we parked out of the city center. The hotel looked lovely and we were dealt with very efficiently.... More

I chose this hotel as it ranked as number 2 in Lancaster but I must admit I found it a little disappointing. The room looked great, but there is hardly a reception area, the restaurant is soulless and Wifi is not available in the rooms. I travel a lot for work and for the price of one overnight stay I've... One year on and we decided to give Lancaster another try. I'm glad we stayed at the Penny Street Bridge this time. The staff were friendly yet courteous. Breakfasts were good. The rooms were well appointed, tastefully decorated and generally clean, perhaps it wouldn't hurt to clean between the main windows and the secondary glazing from time to time. This... More

Cannot say a bad thing about this hotel! The rooms were absolutely lovely. The beds were so comfy we didn't want to get up in the morning! The shower was fab too. All the staff were friendly and breakfast was delicious. Thankyou for a lovely stay!!

Great hotel just 10 min walk from the train station. Staff were friendly, helpful and eager to please. Our room was small but ample for us, lovely fittings and it had the most amazing shower! Great small touches such as fresh milk in flasks for the room. We ate one night in the restaurant, we both had steak and it... More
