We stayed here with our two spaniels whilst visiting our son at Lancaster uni. We had a lovely spacious room and could hear the trickling of water in the canal's lock all night which was pleasant. The friendly staff accommodated our lively dogs at dinner and at breakfast which helped us to relax. Food was good and the walk along... More

Location . The hotel is beautifully located next to a canal. There are walks along the towpath and also walks into Lancaster [ 6 or 7 miles ] along an old railway line. It is very peaceful . Rooms. The rooms are spacious and bright and simply but well furnished. We booked a Signature Double and had a view down... More

this was our 3rd visit to this fantastic hotel. The staff still as friendly especially the young girl who is a waitress/receptionist/chambermaid I apologise for not remembering her name but she is lovely. I still prefer room 12. The food is fresh and good especially the Farmers Platter and the Fish and Chips, breakfast is freshly made to order. I... More

First discovered this hotel when I called in for pub lunch in 2007 while working in the area. I was so impressed that my wife and I returned for New Years Eve when we had a fantastic night. Since then we return on a regular basis and each year it gets better and more of a home from home. This... More

This Inn offers all you need - comfortable in its rural estuary side setting next to a canal and close but not too close to historic Lancaster. Rooms are varied, but with individual touches befitting a renovated historic mill with fine resturant and relaxing lounges. Staff are friendly and welcoming with a pet friendly focus on one floor and breakfasts... More

We visited for a one night stay when visiting the University. We have stayed at Lancaster House previously but that was full. Found this gem after some doubt about staying in Lancaster. It's a lovely place. Rural, next to the canal, comfortably decorated, warm welcome. The food is very good and the bedroom warm and cps despite being a decent... More

I found this hotel quite by accident when looking for somewhere to stay on the way to the Lake District. What a find! Never have I been into such a clean establishment. It was spotless. We were greeted by Liz at reception who immediately made us feel at home and welcome. They have a lift in this establishment, unusual for... More

We stayed in room 8 not the best of views but still pleasant. The room was very warm which was a little uncomfortable but we are having odd weather for October.we got a taxi into... More
