Stayed in a room for the disabled, at the back, quiet, comfortable with stylish decoration. Bathroom spacious and fully accessible but the electric shower a disappointment, insufficient pressure to rinse shampoo from hair. Following the warm welcome from the bar staff the previous evening, breakfast was a world apart. Despite a hard frost, the french windows were fully open leaving... More

Whilst travelling around the Northwest of England we stopped here for lunch. The menu looked lovely but we weren't very hungry so ordered sandwiches. They were delicious and beautifully presented. The server was very friendly and contributed to a very positive and enjoyable experience.

This is more like staying in a very good,4 star hotel. It's very clean, well furnished and the staff are excellent as for the restaurant,we normally eat one night where we stay and go out for the rest - in this case we ate in their restaurant both nights. Slight noise outside as pub customers were leaving on one night... More

We only stayed one day and it was a busy saturday night. The rooms are quite nicely decorated with modern furniture, but we could hear people shouting and making a ruckus until the early hours on the way home id guess. The parking is a bit of a chore being that it's in an area of restricted parking. Our room... More

Stayed overnight at the Wagon & Horses this March. The food was very good as was the selection of real ales and wine. The bedroom was of a good size and clean and tidy and well presented. The bar and restaurant area was up-to-date but very comfortable with real fires, very welcome on a cold wet day. In particular though... More

Stayed at the Wagon and Horses for one night in February on a quick trip to Lancaster with my other half. The B&B is excellently kept, everything was clean and tidy including the rooms. Our welcome was warm and sincere and the staff were all excellent. There was a huge selection for breakfast and the food was lovely. The only... More

We've just had a lovely weekend in Lancaster, and the Wagon and Horses was a superb location to stay, overlooking the river but not too far from the centre of town. Very warm and friendly welcome from the staff (thanks Mike!), who were at all times helpful, polite and friendly. Had lovely evening meal on the Friday - tempura veg... More
