We stayed here on a Tuesday night on our way back from the Lakes. Lovely place, spotlessly clean. Modern rooms and friendly staff. It's a real gem. Breakfast was fabulous as well with lots of choice. Wish we could have stayed longer.

Having now done 4 visits to Lancaster, this has been the best place to stay so far. The staff are all very courteous and helpful, the room was lovely and clean and the food very good. The negatives are; lack of parking, very noisy fan in bathroom (didn't turn light on so as not to disturb next room). However, other... More

Great hotel beautifully done out with a mixture of old and new decor. Staff were so helpful and friendly with one girl drawing us a map of places to go in the town. Breakfast was generous and tasty. Thoroughly recommended.

Stayed during 'graduation week' for two nights, and the staff were all friendly and chatty, and it was lovely that they seemed to genuinely care that the graduation stay was special....we were not the only family there for that reason. Ate at the pub the first evening, and the food was both interesting and tasty, as well as being plentiful,... More

I wanted this to be a special night as it was my partners birthday which I mentioned when booking and I asked for a nice room , the room was so tiny you couldn't even get ready properly and the fan made an awful noise . Very disappointed and not cheap at £80 ...

We stayed for one night on a Saturday evening. The room was lovely and clean and cosy (although the bed was very small). Breakfast was nice, we had a good cooked breakfast. The pub area was lovely. Would go back.

From the moment we arrived (10.30 pm ish) we were well looked after & made most welcome... this continued throughout our 3 night stay. ALL staff were very accommodating and very nice people, they couldn't do enough for us. (even brought us up a bacon butty one morning when we overslept and missed breakfast) Breakfast was huge and tasty -... More

The room as small but nice with an ample tea tray. We had a view over the river Lune. The promised wi-fi didn't work in the bar, only upstairs. We booked through an agency, Booking.com, and the booking clearly stated that full English breakfast is included in the room rate and we could check out on Saturday, between 08:00 -... More

Good value. Friendly. Well situated. Room compact but comfortable. Good breakfast. We would happily stay there again. Twelve minute walk from the railway station but this does involve two steep sections!
