We stayed just the one night for our daughters graduation, but would of been happy to stay longer. The staff really make this place, nothing was too much trouble, and the food was really good. As other people have mentioned the room was a little on the small side, but very comfortable and we didn't go to stay in the... More

Very nice people, slightly out of the centre but close enough to walk. Pub is cozy and the beer was OK. Our room was perfectly adequate, though a bit small. The decoration and cleanliness was very good. The service was friendly and very professional.

My son (age 8) and I decided upon a short half term visit of 2 days to the historic town of Lancaster. A mere 11/2hr train journey and 15min walk from the train station led us to our welcoming abode of The Wagon and Horses. The situation of the hotel is ideal for visiting local attractions with the castle only... More

I never knew Lancaster had a port so was delighted to find this place next to the Lune and on a row of wharfs converted to flats. The interior is immaculate and the room, whilst small, was perfect for our overnight stop. Great food with friendly service. They even made us a packed lunch for day 1 of the Cumbria... More

I've had some bad experiences staying in rooms above bars so was a bit sceptical of The Wagon & Horses until we stepped through the door! Not what I had expected at all, the bar area is quite big but set out to have lots of cosy little areas where you can relax, enjoy your food and soak up the... More

Stayed over night at lancaster last Saturday , and whilst walking around the city during the day we came across this pub/ resturant and called in for coffee , we was quite impressed with what we saw and booked a table for two for 8 pm and I asked one of the girls if we could have a certain table... I booked this hotel on the recommendations I found on the internet...and I'm so glad I did! The welcome was warm, the beer was great and the food was outstanding. Our room may have been small but it was perfect with an incredibly comfortable bed. Breakfast the next morning was tasty and the staff were great! I can't rate it... More

Absolutely loved this place. Staff couldnt be any more helpful. We stayed for two nights and we couldnt have asked for more. The room was immaculate, light and airy with a brilliant view over The River Lune. Breakfast was extremely large and the ingredients were great quality. We also had our evening meal here and that was to the same... More
