I stayed here at the end of my fourth day on my Land's End to John O'Groats ride in June 2014. Day 3 had proved to be a disaster, mechanical problems leaving me an extra 40 miles to ride, which meant by the time I arrived I had cycled 160 miles and was in need of some gentle treatment. This... We stayed at the stork inn for only one night and could not fault it. There is a big Sth African theme which didn't quite fit the "english inn" theme. That aside, the young staff were superb, food lovely and plentiful. The rooms were roomy and very well appointed. Fantastic beer garden.

I have to say this is a difficult review to write. The last time we ate there was a good number of years ago, and it was really nice English traditional food, however when we arrived today and browsed a simply fantastic menu, there were a fair few South African dishes, and there was also a comprehensive specials board, with... Popped in for dinner at late notice, just before last orders for food and thankfully they managed to find us a table as It was packed! We had fish n chips and the fillet of Hake with risotto, it was fab. Service was excellent, top notch and the cost pretty decent. Well worth the visit, doggie allowed in also.

Had lunch here one sunday. Had steak £19.99 asked med to rare, my mrs had pork. After the 50 minute wait my steak was medium only, no rare anywhere to be seen. Her pork was rubbery and she's still chewing it now. I dared to try cheesecake for dessert. The base of cheesecake was a bit like a 10 minute... More

Stayed here for two nights as a May Bank Holiday break. The room was very clean, comfortable and nicely decorated. The breakfasts were generous and well cooked as well as a range of juices, fruits, cereals and toast being available at the buffet. We ate in the bar one of the evenings and enjoyed an excellent meal. My wife was particularly appreciative of... More

I dined here with my family a couple of days ago for lunch. I have dined here a twice before and always found both the service and food very good, as it was this time too. I had the beef and caramelised onion sandwich which was very delicious, my mum tried the eisbein, my dad had the pork and mushroom... More

We are here while staying in Glasson Dock. The interior of the pub is lovely and traditional and the best thing is that it is dog friendly! The food was different and while it wasn't the best I've ever had I did enjoy it. There are tables outside where you can sit and a small garden at the back. We... More

Had a family meal here and it was very tasty for all the courses we tried. From sandwiches to salmon dish. Decor average, food very nice, service pleasant. Liked the idea of small and large portions on the menu very useful if you haven't got a massive appetite and want a smaller option without wastage.

We called in here yesterday morning for breakfast a little after 0930 on our way to Lancaster for a day crammed with meetings. We drove out of our way a little as we had heard good things about The Stork. Unfortunately, I am afraid to say the Full English (£8.95 per person brew included) was terrible. To start with the...
