Only had lunches there but the welcome, the friendly staff, the excellent food and the value-for-money experience mean that we'll keep going back. Interesting twist is the South African influence in the menu choices, a different cuisine, but tasty.

We ate there both nights and the food was very good, really tasty and the service too was very good. Breakfast was also excellent with plenty choice of cereals and... More

Taken here by friends for dinner. Menu has South African flavour. We shared the stater platter which looked amazing but was a little blander than I had anticipated. We all had the Eisbein for main course which is smoked ham hock with potatoes, beetroot and onions and is quite delicious. Great beers (Timothy Taylor and Black Sheep) and friendly staff... More

We stayed for one (Friday) night with our dog. Everything was great! Easy check-in, nice clean room, comfortable beds and the best breakfast I have ever had in a B&B. Pleasant staff! Thanks for making us feel welcome and thanks for a great stay! My only constructive feedback would be that the bathroom, although very clean, could do with modernising... More

Having been let down by The Mill we enquired about the possibility of a family room at 6pm on a Sunday night. The landlady sorted a room for us at a competitive rate which was immaculate so we proceeded to order food & drinks. The food was excellent, a mixture of South African & English cuisine. We retired to bed... More

Myself,my husband and daughter had decided on a stop returning from the games having had our 1st holiday in the area 14/15 years ago. We had originally booked a different b&b 'the mill' just up from the stork. For one reason and another we didn't end up staying there so called into the stork on off chance. All staff were... More

Just been to the stork inn for food with my dad and boyfriend. We ordered a large fish and chips, small fish and chips and one large lancaster chicken. We were shocked when it came out and we seen how good the meals looked. The fish and chips were so tasty and the fish was very fresh and just melted... More
