I must admit on entry to my twin room I thought, what the hell! It served its purpose however, and the staff were really friendly and helpful. Especially Joe, he left a lasting impression on me! The power shower is amazing!!! Washed that hangover away nicely 😁

visited in late November in a twin room. could list every fault as being honest there's loads to choose from! Instead a word of advise.....don't bother!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! not worth visiting it would be cheaper and nicer to visit the youth hostel.

I normally stay elsewhere (the Premier Inn) but they were full so as I needed a place close to the station and the options were very limited, I ended up choosing the Thomas James. The place needs some TLC, for example in the room I had, a large section of wallpaper had been ripped off the wall and a coat... More

Got the room via booking .com so we did not have to drive home after a work do. They make you pay when you arrive (you probably would not pay after your stay). loud muisic with a thumping bass till 2.30 am and then noise from stairs and corridors door banging till 3.45am. Generaly shabby all through the building stuff... More

Filthy, everything broken (lights, shower, shower cubicle, windows), place stinks. Mattress springs poke through, noisy, shabby and so much more. I am really not fussy but we were extremely close to just leaving. They make you pay on arrival for a good reason!!!

Toilet broken, shower and shower cubicle broken, old and filthy, lights not working, spot light hanging out of the ceiling, noisy, filthy. Trust me - we aren't fussy people but definitely the worse place we have ever stayed at (and we've stayed at some £20 a night b and b's). Total rip off. Gutted.

Booked into this Hotel primarily for its central, L.Spa location, which unfortunately meant NO attached car park. Room was clean if spartan, the shower and television both worked fine, though the bed and pillows were like rocks to sleep on. No breakfast was provided during my visit though there is an eatery attached and a Witherspoons down the street. A... More

I stayed here for one night whilst on business. The staff who 'greeted' me ignored me whilst talking to each other and smoking outside. The hotel is tastelessly decorated and worn out, a bit like a council house brothel. Despite this it served its purpose and I left the next day without much thought about the experience. However, the following... More

We paid £100 for 2 nights stay and got what we paid for. The pro's: Comfortable bed, amazing shower, large TV. The con's: yes its noisy from the bar downstairs but surely this is pretty obvious to work out before booking due to its location; the shower leaked whilst in use (but was cleaned up by housekeeping without notifying staff).... After walking 30 miles along the canal for charity as part of a 147 mile journey, I booked the Hotel as it was close to the canal & central location. I requested a bath on booking the room. On arrival the Hotel was overbooked and they were trying to find rooms in other Hotels as guests arrived. I was put... More
