No frills but clean, comfortable, our (double) room had lots of space. Staff issued extra towels and fixed a shower curtain quickly and without fuss (late evening.) Good value, town centre location. Used previous advice on where to park, also overnight street parking until 8 am just round the corner. Don't miss the magnificent sweeping staircase with stained glass windows... more

This hovel (yes I am aware I typed HOVEL) is an ABSOLUTE DISGRACE!! It is staffed by uncaring, bordering offensive incompetents who, when you ask them for something, extra pillows 'if you can call them that' in one case, (and also assuming anyone is at the reception desk in the first place and you don't have to wait for an... more

OK, there are some positives to this hotel - namely the great location (unless you need to park) and the spacious rooms. However, there were some problems. There was nobody at reception on arrival, and I had to wait quite a while with the bell ringing until someone showed up. The key they give you has no room number written... more

We were looking forward very much to staying in Leamington Spa and the Regent Travel lodge looked a classic building from the photos. What a disappointment! The car park was situated in one of the NCP lots and we had to pay every time we took the car out - worked out to be £7 a day. The entrance to... more

Entry to the rooms is via swipe cards. I put my swipe card in my handbag and by the time we returned to the hotel at gone 10pm (when you need to use your swipe card to get in to the hotel as reception is closed) all the details had been wiped. If it is near keys or a mobile... more

Lovely 4 day break in a very different Tavelodge. Phoned day before to ask for quite room, got that ok. Found free parking in York road a 5 minute walk away. Had a lovely relaxing break while son was at gaming weekend nearby. The Travelodge is right next to the shops and is across the road from parks and Pump... more

I always try to go to hotels with an open mind, despite bad reviews, but believe me it is as bad as previously stated. It is dingy, dirty, poorly maintained, and noisy because of its location. We arrived to check in at 2.40p.m. to be told we had 20mins to wait. So, we waited on dirty chairs in the dingy... more

We had the pleasure of staying at this travelodge and were surprised how much we enjoyed it. We were not expecting too much based on some reviews on tripadvisor. It is a standard travelodge, but in an interested building steeped in history in a really good location. The hotel is a little dated but not shabby. It is very well... more

We booked this on a £9 deal which for a family of four can't be beaten. We are used to the 'basicness' of Travelodge so didn't expect much. However, we were pleasantly surprised. The hotel exterior and interior retained a lot of the original features. The kids loved the big sweeping staircase and mirrors. The family room was larger than... more

The building may look impressive but all carpets needed a good vacuuming. On entering the room we found a duvet in its packaging on the bed which we had to open and assemble. This is not what you want after a long journey! The carpet in our room was filthy & looked like it hadn't been hoovered for weeks. Had... more
