Former luxury hotel which fell into disrepair. Renovation is being undertaken by Travelodge and its good to see that old features of the building are being kept. Large bedroom which was very clean. Seemed that a lot ot things in the room were new. Location on High Street is perfect for exploring. Good breakfasts available at Wetherspoons over the road.bexcellent... More

I love trip adviser but really !!! what do people expect of a central location room costing less than £20 per night, the location is superb, the rooms are spotless and cleaned everyday, the building is superb, yes if this was a £150-£250 per night operation you would have expected the building to have been renovated to a higher standard,... Cheap prices mean you arrive not expecting luxury, yet the outside of this once grand old hotel, plus its location on the high street of Leamington are brilliant. BUT, these qualities are completely undermined when you step inside. A reception desk that was never manned once during my stay meant raising concerns about the cleanliness of the room was challenging.... More

At £20 per night you don't expect much. Travelodge Leamington is in what was a very grand old hotel, The Regent. There are some amazing portraits and stained glass windows around. The room was very big, which was initially impressive. The basic amenities were ok at best - TV worked but remote control was dodgy, shaver socket in bathroom didn't... More

Had to move rooms because of leaking toilet. Bathroom door would not close and window opened on it's own if the catch was not on. Coffee mug leaked so was unusable. Overall definitely not value for money. Needs updating. Would not stay again! More

Great location in the centre of Town close to all shops and pubs! The inside leaves a lot to be desired- everywhere seems very tatty and unwelcoming! Needs updating. I had a terrible draft from my inadequate bedroom window and as soon as I got into my room I shut the curtains to stop the draft- despite it being early... More

We stayed one night midweek in April. Town centre location close to shops and bars, although probably a bit too close on the weekends. We couldn't decide whether the spillage on the hotel steps was blood or drink. Receptionist was a bit frosty and spent ages telling us about the hotel's noise policy. Room was the smallest on the floor... More

I stayed here while on business and I have to say that if I were a backpacker on a budget, travelling for some strange reason (maybe a dare?) through this part of the UK, I would not mind an upgrade from bunk beds and shared bathrooms, but that's really where the good things end with this hotel and definitely it... We spent Easter Sunday night here, and I'm glad I didn't read the reviews until now. I have no complaints whatsoever. Other reviewers mention the noise- I suppose that on a normal night/morning the location would be noisy. I can't really comment, as Sunday night/Bank holiday Monday morning was incredibly quiet! I loved the building, it's historical charm, character and... More

This was my first stay in a Travelodge and i thought it was very good. I've had some such miserable experiences in hotels in the last few years (always noise related) that it's put me off traveling. The building is grade II* listed and has some very attractive features. The position couldn't have been better and although our rooms were... More
