The whole place has outdated decor, walls in the corridors are dirty. I was greeted by a turd in the toilet bowl and the water pressure in the shower was almost non-existent. At breakfast scrambled eggs were dry and grainy. The waiter seemed surprised that I told him so when he asked if everything was OK, as if one is... more

Stayed for 1 night B+B last Sat night. The website stated that it was a 2 min walk from the centre. When we arrived the receptionist told us it was a 10 min walk - which was fine for us but why would they not not state the correct distance.? Room was ready at 12 noon & was very nice... more

Stayed one night for work training course - there were lots of problems with the rooms, no electric in one, no duvet in another and so on! There was also problems with the food, they ran out of vegetarian food during lunch and were not too sure what to do! They had to make a sandwich, apart from one staff... more

Stayed at the Falstaff on a 2 night late booking via laterooms.com Thursday and Good Friday nights over Easter. We paid £50 per room per night B&B - for this money it was fine, but certainly wouldn't pay any more than that. Prices on Best Western website for the Friday & Saturday over Easter were astronomical... The rooms were clean... more

We stayed here when visiting a friend in Leamington. The entrance hall is lovely (and nicely decorated) but when we were shown to our rooms it went down hill. The passageway to the main rooms is dingy and there is an awful smell when you approach the right-hand wing of the building. The room itself was quite cramped and in... more

Stayed for one night. First impressions were good, nice reception area and public rooms. Room OK but rather tatty, bathroom radiator had been removed leaving the two sharp metal supports sticking out from the wall which could have been quite dangerous if you slipped on the tiles! Both bath taps were broken. Our main gripe was the lack of heating... more

What a transition! I stayed in the Best Western Falstaff Hotel on business last year, although passable it was in need of updating and a little TLC. I've returned again this year and what a change, new bar, new lounge and new restaurant. The bedrooms are clean as you would expect from a Best Western Hotel. I enjoyed dinner, the... more

I stayed for a few days during a training course for my work. The hotel is clean and tidy, but somehow lacks character and has a slightly dour feel about it. The room I had was situated on the ground floor, at the back of the hotel. It was clean, quiet and generally fine. The only minor point of criticism... more

1 night stay in dirty lifeless hotel. Had the pleasure of checking into a room where the bed had just been slept in, the shower had just been used, the bin had not been emptied etc etc. Full of apologies and at least responsive enough to offer a free upgrade (to a room that had been cleaned!!) Breakfast no better.... more
