Our stay was for 1 night as we were attending a concert at Warwick Castle so close enough for a bus ride to our destination. First impressions from outside it looked drab and in need of a redec. Entrance was quite impressive, lots of marble and crystal but behind the sense it's very dated. The bedroom was clean and functional,... More

When we arrived at the Falstaff we were disappointed with the appearance of the outside. Inside was very nice until you came to the corridors to rooms. Very tired and in need of decorating. However we had a really lovely room, which was spacious , quiet and very clean. We had a very comfortable night there. Reception staff were helpful,... More

Just returned from one night at the Falstaff after attending a graduation ceremony. We were very disappointed by the shabby appearance of the exterior of the hotel on arrival (think the other entrance was probably more attractive). The interior was fairly smart and fresh by comparison to the outside but the reception we received at check-in was far from warm... More

Just back from 3 nights there. On arrival, hotel appeared clean but a bit shabby around the edges, water cooler in reception was empty. Corridors were clean but again shabby. My check in card was poorly printed with the wrong rate on - basically card had been cut up with a pair of blunt scissors, not very professional. Room was... More

The Falstaff seems to have got itself together again, it has had a few "iffy" years but now seems to be well back on track. A group of about 40 of us had a 3 course set menu in the restaurant last week and were well fed and well looked after. An excellent home made mushroom soup, followed by roast... More

Arrived at the rear of the hotel, very tight car park but safe enough, reception clean and but the hotel was very hot, checked and went to my room, although a double very small and "HOT" opened windows put fan on to no avail could not cool room down, Bar was clean and tidy, quite airy once the windows were... Thank you for your feedback. Please accept my apologies for the difficulties experienced. We appear to be enjoying a relatively decent summer and although fans are provided in each of our bedrooms it appears that it made little impact on this occasion. I have passed you comments regarding your dining experience on to our Head Chef where action will be... More

We have held a couple of training events and a fundraising evening at The Falstaff now and have been very pleased with the level of service we have received from the staff at the hotel. Matt the manager is always keen to go the extra mile and ensure everything runs smoothly.

Start with the good points. The food was excellent. The hotel seems a little "tired". The first room we were allocated was very dark and oppressively hot. We were relocated to a more acceptable room. The water pressure in the shower was pathetic. The bar was unmanned for most of the time and there was no real ale on offer.

We don't understand the negative comments. The staff were all helpful & friendly. Lovely spacious room, queen size comfy bed, generous breakfast included. Clean & bright, nothing we did not like. Our dog was made to feel at home, no restrictions except obviously the dining room. We would strongly advise that you ignore some of the other critics

Had an overnight stay, Bed,Breakfast & Evening Meal on 8th May 2014. The twin bedded room, on the ground floor, was comfortable, the bathroom clean and we slept well. The bar was empty but we had no trouble getting service & took advantage of their 'Happy Hour' to enjoy a reasonably priced bottle of wine. The evening meal was good... More
