The Falstaff seems to have got itself together again, it has had a few "iffy" years but now seems to be well back on track. A group of about 40 of us had a 3 course set menu in the restaurant last week and were well fed and well looked after. An excellent home made mushroom soup, followed by roast... More

Arrived at the rear of the hotel, very tight car park but safe enough, reception clean and but the hotel was very hot, checked and went to my room, although a double very small and "HOT" opened windows put fan on to no avail could not cool room down, Bar was clean and tidy, quite airy once the windows were... We have held a couple of training events and a fundraising evening at The Falstaff now and have been very pleased with the level of service we have received from the staff at the hotel. Matt the manager is always keen to go the extra mile and ensure everything runs smoothly.

Start with the good points. The food was excellent. The hotel seems a little "tired". The first room we were allocated was very dark and oppressively hot. We were relocated to a more acceptable room. The water pressure in the shower was pathetic. The bar was unmanned for most of the time and there was no real ale on offer.

We don't understand the negative comments. The staff were all helpful & friendly. Lovely spacious room, queen size comfy bed, generous breakfast included. Clean & bright, nothing we did not like. Our dog was made to feel at home, no restrictions except obviously the dining room. We would strongly advise that you ignore some of the other critics

Had an overnight stay, Bed,Breakfast & Evening Meal on 8th May 2014. The twin bedded room, on the ground floor, was comfortable, the bathroom clean and we slept well. The bar was empty but we had no trouble getting service & took advantage of their 'Happy Hour' to enjoy a reasonably priced bottle of wine. The evening meal was good... More

This hotel is tired and old fashioned. My room was up 2 flights of stairs. It was basically clean but dated. There was a huge gap under the door. The key cards for my room and a colleague's room did not work very well, meaning lots of trips up and down the stairs to reception. My heart sank when I... More

Recently stayed at the big blue best western in Blackpool and was pleased. On business so let expotel recommend Overpriced at £75 for a double with breakfast for single occupancy. Did not realise until I arrived just how overpriced. The most run down exterior dirty windows and lousy parking. Found out later better car park to the rear but not... More

We stayed here with friends who had come up from Somerset to visit National Trust houses in the area; it was only for 1 night so we weren't expecting a lot. However, it turned out to be an excellent choice; the staff were very friendly and welcoming and the food was very good. On checking out, the manager/owner came out... More
