We just stayed two nights at this hotel and the only thing good about it was the breakfast and free car parking ( if you could get in the car park). The bed sheets were clean, but dont look up Ive never seen so many cob webs. The shower was dirty and had no power. It reminded me of some Blackpool... More

Stayed at this presumably once elegant hotel. The best word of advice is to avoid room 3. We arrived late at night, and went straight to bed ..... However the bed had a foul smell .... I won't explain what it smelt of. With it being a warm night we took the quilt out of its cover, having just the... More

This was my second visit to this hotel. The first one was taking my son to start university and the second, three years later, to attend his graduation. I don't remember if it was the same people first time round, but I can state that there was a warm welcome on both occasions. There was an admin mix-up with my... More

I chose this bed and breakfast partly due to the location and partly due to the price. However, I wish I had read the reviews on this site before booking. I thought the whole experience was unprofessional and there was little sign of consideration for customers. This seems to be reflected in comments from the management to reviews on this... More

I needed somewhere close to dog show the following day. This hotel was perfect. The person who greeted me was very friendly and helpful. The room was clean and perfectly adequate for me and my dog. Was away too early for breakfast in morning. I would definitely go back there next time.

Working locally, I wanted to stay somewhere from where I could walk to work each day. The Whitburn fitted the bill perfectly but, not having been to Preston before did not know the area so wasn't sure what I was getting. Firstly, it's cheap and the old adage, you get what you pay for is certainly true. That said, even... More

Very friendly, helpful and cheerful staff. Excellent breakfast. Our room needed a good solid clean. mould and cobwebs behind the curtain to the fire exit and caked dirt around the skirting boards. Electric socket appeared overloaded. Bed not made properly and although I left my towel in the shower to be removed for laundry, when I returned it was still... More
