We booked into the Gibbon Bridge for 3 nights half board and were warmly greeted by Judy and Deborah at reception. We were also up-graded to a luxury suite which was split level and overlooked the beautiful gardens. The bedroom had a four poster bed and a fantastic bathroom with a whirlpool bath and a shower. Above was a big... more

On reading the previous disappointing wedding review I felt I had to reply. We held our daughter's wedding at The Gibbon Bridge Hotel in May 2009. Throughout our contacts with the hotel from the initial viewing by our daughter and her then fiance to the final wonderful day we had only excellent treatment by all the staff. Of course if... more

My fiance & I travelled an hour to visit the hotel to view it as a potential wedding venue. In fact from the pictures on line we were positive we would be booking. Upon arrival we were asked to wait 10 minutes as the wedding coordinator was off. During this time we witnessed a serious complaint from a wedding guest... more

Contrary to some reviews , found the staff excellent and helpful. The evening meal cooked by the owner was excellent quality and value.Stayed in the VIP suite which was dated and with the two floors set out upside down. This was due to the enormous Four poster bed. Consequently the lounge area upstairs was not used.. When I am staying in a... more

My husband and I stayed at the Gibbon Bridge at the end of June on the occasion of my 81st birthday. It happened to be the hottest weekend of the year yet we found the restaurant and bar well air-conditioned and when we requested a fan for our suite one was immediately forthcoming. Having just stayed at the world famous Carlton... more

we had hoped to be somewhere hot and sunny for this special occasion, but circumstances did not allow. We arrived full of expectation after having this hotel recommended and having read reviews promising exceptional attention and service, unfortunately we had not been told you had to be a "B list Coronation St celebrity" to qualify for that. We were greeted... more

We had the pleasure of holding our civil wedding and reception at The Gibbon Bridge Hotel on Sunday 7th June 2009. The staff throughout the process including Janet the owner had been simply excellent guiding us through the task of arranging our wedding. Luckily for us on the sunday afternoon the staff had even arranged the weather for us enabling... more

Stopped at the Gibbon Bridge as we attended a wedding there. The room we had was room 23 and was huge. It had 2 floors, the sitting room and bathroom are situated on the ground floor of the room. Bathroom big, with a large modern shower. Upstairs has 3 single beds and there was still plenty of room and another... more
