Dodgy area, parking is a nightmare - make sure you're an experienced driver!, the area outside is dirty, the room was ok for what I paid (GBP29), otherwise I would've given it only 1 star!

Booked three rooms (all with pre-booked breakfast) for one night - 25 May 2012. Total cost - £76. The hotel provides free car parking which, to be fair, seemed pretty secure as it was continually guarded by staff smoking in the entrance. The car park is however incredibly tight with vertical steelwork in the corners of most parking spots. Check... More

Despite the fact the night reception guy was a lovely person and was 100% helpful, the hotel and I use this term losely was appalling. I think I must have selected the most run down, shabby place going in town. The area was dubious, like the backside of Preston, the car park scary and I have driven in many place... More

Poor service and understaffed. Receptionist, when she finally came to the desk, actually swore when checking me in! Car park is a nightmare if you have anything bigger than a scooter. Ridiculous set-up. The room was terrible. No shower curtain, rusty bathroom fittings, lumpy bed, bedside units were broken, carpet was knackered and the room was rather smelly! I'm so... More

Me and my 4 friends (23-24 yrs old) stayed in may 2012 for one night...first sight looks like a prison with 'travelodge' stuck on the front of it. In a rough area...parking a joke, literally took 4 of us to get out n guide the car into the ridiculously small spaces between bollards. On arrival no recptionist so followed sign... More

We stayed here on 11/05/12 never again. After a six hour car journey to get here to see my partners six year old son for the weekend we arrived at the Travelodge. After eventually parking the car in the most rediculous car park ever we went to reception to check in. We were greeted by three receptionists. We were given... More

We booked to stay for 2 nights for our Grandaughters 1st Birthday, the travelodge is about a 5 min walk to where they live. I won't comment on the car park but it is what it is and I don't think there is much travelodge can do about this and it seems to be where you regularly see about 6-10... More

We spent Saturday night here and were disappointed that the room was scruffy and smelled like there'd been problems with the sewage system. We could not get extra pillows because the hotel was full, which seems a bit bizarre. The hotel was full of noisy revellers returning during the night and we got little sleep. The car park is a... Out of all the Travelodges I have stayed at this was by far the noisest! I stayed on a Thursday night and the room I stayed in you could hear everything that was going on in the rooms next door and the corridors above and below. The hotel is situated about a 20 min walk from the centre but there... More
