Many positives, more than I feared. Friendly staff, great bathroom. Decent bed, quiet room, horrible decor in common parts with weird statues of naked women and giant chairs offset by great bathrooms, easy to work TV, free wifi, soft large bath towels, good mirrors & lighting, cheap rates, location etc. No lift it so beware if you have heavy luggage.

I checked into this hotel on Sunday 12th April, I have stayed her many times before and in fact stayed here for almost 5 months in 2012 when I was working in the area. Check in was welcoming as normal and the receptionist did her best and moved me to a room on the ground floor due my luggage. I... More

Stayed here while in the area on business. Staff really helpful and friendly, room clean and welcoming although a little smaller than some but would definitely not put me off coming again. Had problems getting back I to my room a few times but quickly sorted by reception. Bar meal was ok, would give it 7/10 chips a little soggy... More

Stayed over on business and although the hotel was nice my room was quite small and i found a couple of stains on the throw over the bed which wasn't good Had rib eye steak for dinner but wasn't too impressed and only ate half and it wasn't cheap. Breakfast was Ok but for a 4 star expected better all... More

Have stayed here several times now. Yet again, there was a bit of confusion over the rooms we had booked, but it was quickly sorted out. The staff were really cheerful and excellent as always. At breakfast on day one, the black puddings were hard as rocks. I mentioned this, and was assured it would be fed back, but they... More

This is a satisfactory hotel for a night's stay en route to a further destination. Dinner and breakfast were good. The lack of a lift to the first floor a disadvantage. The bar and dining room are spacious.

We dined in the four seasons restaurant and had a superb meal. The member of staff who dealt with us went above and beyond to make everything perfect I'm just... More

We organised a fund-raising dinner and dance at the hotel with 100 guests. The food, service and atmosphere was super. The General Manager, Fergus could not do enough to make the evening a success. Feed back from the guests was extremely good.
