Only stayed one night and on arrival it was clear that the hotel has had an extensive refurbishment. Looks great - Chris on Reception was polite, friendly and quick. Offered us free upgrade to Executive Room that was nice surprise. Whole hotel is immaculate as you would expect. Restaurant was fully booked until 9pm so choose to eat in Bar... more

Stayed here for a couple of nights in Jul and its difficult to underestimate this hotel; it's so dire. The fittings are shabby, the air conditioning either doesn't work or has been switched off to save money so eveyone bakes and can't get any sleep as the windows have all been bolted shut save for enough movement toopen them a... more

My partner and I stayed at this hotel as we found a good deal on the internet.. When we arrived we were greeted very politely, but had to wait approx 5-10 minutes as they had a large party of roudy lads. Room was on the small side with lots of furniture ( ideal for long stays but not for a... more

Stayed only 1 night on our trip from Scotland to Wales, and found hotel to more than meet our needs. The room and bath were spacious with really nice aromatherapy toiletries, and the bed was incredible. The reception guy on duty was most helpful; I had to insist that he take the tip after he carried our luggage to our... more

This is a great hotel to stay at especially at the weekend when good deals are possible. Very friendly staff, clean rooms and a great breakfast. I always try and stay at this hotel when travelling between London and Edinburgh. more

Stayed here for one night on very busy Friday night. Found car parking to be easy and secure. Good location for travelers near to M6 but very quiet location. Reception was below Marriott standards I have experienced elsewhere (have I been lucky) as I had to wait for 10 minutes and the staff did not listen to what I said... more

Spent a weekend here whilst visiting family, (we used to live close by so were aware of the hotel and it is well situated for us ) it is the best 4 star hotel we've ever stayed in. we had a huge room, I'd requested a twin if possible , we got a "double/double" for the same rate . Absolutely... more

I stayed at the Preston Marriot to celebrate my wedding anniversary on the weekend of 17th April 2009. Check in was smooth and very efficient, and after being asked by the receptionist the purpose of our visit and the fact it was our wedding anniversary, we were given a free upgrade to a suite, Throughout our three night stay the... more

I stayed here for one night as a place to rest my head after watching a football match at Preston FC. The building itself is very impressive probably dating back to the 18th century. Inside it was modern and elegant decor which has a cosy feel. Check in was very easy and the rooms were spacious and luxurious. The bed... more
