We stayed for 2 nights at The Tristar. The staff were very friendly. The rooms were small, but comfortable and clean. The breakfast was excellent. A special thank you to the lovelly lady who serves it. We had a meal in the small restaurant at the hotel on our first night and that was OK. The NEC is just 1... More

Had a really good stay here - spent the first 30 minutes chatting with the owner. There was a strong Irish connection!Great room overlooking the runway and despite being so close the aircraft noise was not a major issue.Had a superb Indian restaurant recommended (I needed a good walk after a long drive);SreePur a mile or so up the road.Very good... The Tri-Star Hotel proved an excellent getaway location for us at exceptional value for mid July. Free wifi, and a tariff that included a good cooked breakfast were a selling point and a great delight and with personal attention from the proprietors we were not disappointed. We were without a car but found we could safely walk along a pedestrian... More

Best service I have received anywhere in the UK and Europe on a 6 week trip! A small family hotel, this place is a well oiled machine and you get far more than you pay for. Our room and bathroom was spotless and bed extremely comfortable. Don't be turned off by the airport so nearby - the soundproofing is excellent... More

My husband and I were going to an exhibition the next day at the NEC and wanted somewhere nearby. From checking in to checking out we had an absolutely fantastic welcome. Although on the airport, we never heard any noise from the aeroplanes as the hotel has triple glazing. The rooms are stocked with everything you would want, tv, kettle,... More

My daughter had an early morning flight so we did not want to leave the same morning as you never know what the traffic is like! Booking was easy. Did not want a "bigger" name hotel as her and my husband wanted a more personal service. They had an evening meal which was chicken & chips and steak & chips...they... More

Booked this hotel to go to a convention at the NEC. The staff were amazing! We were called while on our way on the train and asked if we would like a lift from the station to the hotel, which was really nice of them. Then we were checked in very efficiently, with everything being explained well. The following day... More

We booked this hotel as it was close to the NEC and good value. The rooms were quite small and basic but it was very clean. The best thing about this hotel was the staff, as a family run hotel the staff were extremely welcoming and were on hand to answer any questions. Nigel in particular welcomed us, showed us... More

The hotel is small and friendly - staff are extremely helpful and welcoming. It is a little old fashioned but in a nice way! The rooms are clean and the food home cooked although the evening meal was very plain. My room directly overlooked the airport and as I like the window open was noisy. The bed was extremely comfortable... More

I was at the NEC and the Tri-Star is so convenient. The staff couldn't do enough for me. I felt so comfortable there on my own. The breakfast was lovely. As it is a family run hotel there is such pride in everything. I would definitely come back too!
