I have stayed at the hotel many times in the past, the thing that puts it apart from other hotels is the staff, they are so friendly and helpful. The rooms are clean and comfortable. Room service is good and the food the same. more

This is a tough hotel to review as on first sight it should score very highly. However it has very littlesoul/character. Its also expensive for what you get - presumably a result of it's location which is excellent right in the middle of Solihull and within walking distance of the Touchwood shopping centre which is a fabulous. This hotel is... more

We stayed at this hotel on 11/04/09 for two nights. We were pleased with the service at the checkout....very helpful! The room was pleasantly spacious with a choice of pillows and very clean. As we were room only and did not eat in at evening time, cannot comment on food. There is a charge for the car park on daily... more

Stayed again at the Holiday Inn, Solihull. good location for going out on a Friday night, standard room (Rm 212) was more than adequate for our needs. They give you a choice of pillows and the beds are large even in the standard rooms. One grip (but it is the same with all hotels) is the price of a bottle... more

We stayed here in July 2007 for my cousin's wedding reception. The reception was beautiful and the staff did everything they could to make the day run smoothly. It was one of the best wedding receptions I have ever been to! The hotel room was large, modern, spotless and had everything in it you would need. The room was quiet... more

I've stayed at several hotels in Solihull area and Holiday Inn represents a solid value compared to other hotels. The hotel is located proximate to Touchwood (extensive shops / restaurants) in Solihull City Centre. The rooms are modestly appointed and generally quiet. The morning breakfast buffet is OK but I agree with another reveiwer that better / more reasonable breakfast... more

Stayed here a few times and each time has been good. The rooms are spotless, only ever had 1 problem in one of the rooms but they quickly changed me to another room which was perfect and bigger. There is spare pillows in the room and of course each room is air conditioned. We never used the lesuire facilities so... more

I only stayed a short while at this hotel, late check in and early departure. Room was clean and well decorated. Bathroom was the same with a reasonable shower. The bar service was a little slow due to a lot of wedding guests staying for a wedding the following day. I didn't eat in the hotel. The coffee was that... more

As a regular visitor to Solihull I have tried all the hotels at some stage or another. Today this is a good way above the others which are pretty mediocre except St Johns and Corus which you should avoid like the plague. Comfortable rooms, good shower and breakfast with a quiet and central location. more
