Booked this hotel almost blindly as in a rush but followed the very positive reviews. Thank goodness for Trip Advisor. Disappointment is NOT a word anyone can attribute to Jessop House and its Proprietors as it is very lovely indeed in every way. Rooms I saw were on the large side for such a bijou property in the centre of... More

This is a lovely little hotel in the centre of town. Feels very cozy and homely. My room was surprisingly huge and luxurious: big and the most comfortable bed, a separate area with a sofa, fireplace and a TV. It felt so homely with nice little things like photoframes with real family pictures. Nice big breakfast with a variety of... More

Just got back from a two-night stay at The Jessop Townhouse and would definitely recommend it to anyone visiting Tewkesbury. The house is beautiful - right in the middle of town and close to shops and pubs/restaurants, but still relatively quiet. We went for the deluxe room and made the right choice. The room was huge and elegant, with a... More

I arrived on their doorstep, mistakenly thinking I had booked it in.( I hadn't. I'd researched it then omitted to actually send the booking). Although they would have had every right to say goodbye to somebody who had just wandered in, my partner and I made to feel very welcome. Just about a stone's throw from the Abbey, it is... More

As promised in our last review in 2013, we have revisited this year. In fact, we have stayed 3 times & occupied 3 different rooms, so sampling both wings. Cannot speak too highly of the whole experience, including the quality of the rooms, the attention to detail, the breakfasts & the friendliness of Chris & Steve. We loved staying over... More

My husband and I have stayed at this property on 3 occasions over 2 years and have never failed to be impressed by the warm welcome, sumptuous and spotless rooms and the delicious breakfasts cooked with local farm produce. We'll no doubt be staying again soon.

I was here for just one night to attend a concert in the Abbey. The friendliness of Christine and Steven - it felt I'd known them for years - the spacious, comfortable, beautifully decorated bedroom, complemented the lovely music and made my stay perfect. I can see myself going back there time and time again. And what a coincidence: Chris... More

Stayed for 1 night to go to a concert in the abbey. Running late so Steve was ready and waiting in the car park for us so we could dash off. Can't beat that kind of service... Beautiful B&B! Lovely decor, very comfortable and immaculately clean. Lots of 'posh' touches everywhere. And a very, very warm welcome from Steve and... More

We returned to Jessop House for a one night stay recently so we could attend a friends wedding nearby the next day. The house is as beautiful as ever and Chris and Steven as welcoming as always. You can't ask for better hosts, happy to see you, making sure your stay is as smooth and comfortable as possible and then... More

We have stayed in a lot of b&b in our travels around the uk for many years. We did have a number 1 where we used to go each time we travelled. But now we have a new number 1...this place is just head and shoulders above the rest. Sylish, spacious, and the huge bed is soooo comfortable. The sort... More
