Just a weekend stopover but thoroughly enjoyable, thanks to the friendly and informative staff, the usual value for money Weatherspoons fare, and the stunning setting. Apparently a 14th century inn which has been wonderfully refurbished into a really interesting facility, passing through the medieval hall enroute to my bed was worth the price.

Staff were very freindly and helpfull especially Emma on reception who showed us around the original half of the hotel with great knowledge of the history of the... More

I stopped over for the Tewkesbury beer festival and stayed in room 103 which was very comfortable , clean and quiet. Staff were helpful and courteous. I was fascinated with the history of the hotel. It has lots of character and I would definitely recommend The Royal Hop Pole to anyone visiting Tewkesbury.

This hotel in historic Tewkesbury is well situated and has all the benefits of the Wetherspoons pub which it incorporates. The food is excellent and at unbeatable prices. There is a range of well kept real ales, again at bargain prices. The abbey is nearby and there are many fine old pubs within easy walking distance.

A value for money break at an easily accessible location for a group of friends from south west, north and east of england. The staff were very friendly and helpful with any queries. The food range allowed for many tastes and plenty of alternates offered.

This is a Weathersoons hotel. We stayed overnight on the 31.1.16. Sadly we were allocated room 105. The mattress was rock hard, the pillows, like the ones your granny has.The heating was off, but this room must be above heating pipes or the boiler and the room was ridicously hot. Open the. Window, good idea I hear you say. Well... More

Stayed here for two nights in a very comfortable, clean and tidy room. Good facilities in the rooms too. Nice old building, sympathetically restored retaining lots of features. Very busy in the pub itself, with the usual inexpensive food and drink you associate with Wetherspoons. The only slight grumble was a doorman trying to get you to leave at the... More

a most outstanding period hotel . I could have spent 2 weeks just looking at the building structure. It would have been nice to research a little history of the area before visiting. I would stay here again DGW
