Upon first arrival to my first (!) room, I was given one right at the back of the hotel. Room 51, cramped but had a beautiful walk in shower. Their statement should be 'free wifi but only for the elite with rooms at the front of the hotel' as it does not extend this far. Forced to do my computer... More

OK so don't expect 5* luxury, but if you want a good value place to stay I recommend this. Very pleasant staff, basic room but with powerful shower and free wifi and parking (although parking spaces fill up quickly).

Writing this as I'm trying to sleep, decided to sleep over rather than a 140 mile round trip. Initial impressions, not bad for the price, 6 hours later? After 4 calls to reception, I'm ready to walk. Party in the bar, directly under my room, my fault apparently as 'I' chose a single room!? The party are members of staff,... More

Stayed here 4 times and won't be back. First 3 times the rooms were tiny and very dated, but at least looked like they had been an attempt at cleaning them, even though the carpets and furniture were very stained. On the fourth occasion I was given a decent sized room but it was disgusting. The wallpaper was hanging off,... More

Stayed at the county as my usual hotel was fully booked, the staff were very pleasant, however the hotel was just beginning a refurbishment, there was no reception desk and the walls were freshly plastered , this I can forgive as the hotel was improving its image however it would have been nice to be told of the refurb at... The staff were extremely welcoming and friendly and the food was fantastic. My only gripe was the outdated rooms that could seriously do with a good spring clean and coat of paint. The kettle had to be held on the base in order for it to boil, the original pre wired kettle shelf was still in situ, with the steam... More

Attended Wallsall Lions 40th Charter, the evening hosted well by the club but as for the food I found this very poor, poor selection of vegetables and the potato was rock had and uncooked in the middle. We stayed in the hotel for Valentine's night as a treat from my partner. The room was very small for a queen size... More

Stayed for one night as had meeting at the uni round the corner next day, room was small but adequate. Staff were very welcoming and helped us when we had a disaster with the shower (couldn't make it stop we were being stupid) will stay again if I need to visit again.

This hotel is idealy situated very near to the town centre. In fact walking distance to the railway station. Adequate car parking places and hotel easy to find. From this hotel you visit many football grounds.
