Awful, awful, awful - don't stay here! This hotel looks NOTHING like the brochure. Horrible location and decor. Not clean! We arrived BEFORE a coach party, but the receptionist insisted on checking them in before us - even though we told her we were in a hurry to get to a wedding. The room was OK size, but felt dirty.... more

I was put off by the other reviews, but the Menzies value 1/2 board, and the fact that almost everywhere else was booked up, convinced me. If the hotel could be moved1/4 mile in either direction, it would be a lot better. However, it was Bank Holiday weekend and the roads were very quiet. We had a quiet room, top... more

Ugly building in ugly location, parking concerned me as directly on a busy main road in industrial type area- no fenca to car park and seemed like no CCTV, very exposed. Reception and check in okay, but then horrid dirty little lift or tiny staircase. Corridors tiny, dirty and claustrophbic. Swimming pol tiny but clean. Inside room not bad, but... more

We asked for a menu for the evening dinner, none available but a promise to deliver one to our room, didnt arrive. So we went the pub over the road. Traditional carvery &... more

I was agreeably surprised by my experience, having read the reviews posted on this site. I was not looking forward to the trip but the hotel was fresh and the only part you could possibly complain about was the scuffed area where guests had bumped cases into the awkwardly placed lift. Our room was excellent and spacious. The double glazing... more

We stayed at this hotel following a family wedding, which I have to say was excellent. Granted the exterior of the hotel is unremarkable, and parts of the interior could do with a facelift, especially around the lift area, however the lobby was attractive and up to date, with lovely contemporary flower arrangements and a welcoming open fireplace (it was... more
