Takes you back to the 70s. Staff give flip responses when refusing requests for double keys for rooms, both public and private bathrooms not cleaned, nasty food at breakfast, free wifi promised but not delivered. Trying to sort out an overpayment took 5 phonecalls to backroom staff who were incompetent and did not keep promises. Avoid, avoid more

Stayed here overnight on a coach tour. Good bits : food is reasonable, we had a carvery meal where there was turkey, ham, fish and 2 chinese dishes available along with usual veg, rice and potatoes. Breakfast was reasonable too, same sort of thing, go up and serve yourself to all the usual breakfast stuff. Not the best food ive... more

I had stayed here about 5 years ago when it was a reasonable hotel to stay at, the other reviews did not make good reading but I decided to give it a try. When I arrived there were 4 staff members standing outside at the main entrance smoking cigarettes. Staff keep on going there when on duty even the manager.... more

sadly a poor example of a hotel. This is one that is best suited for middle america at $20 a night! sadly its around the £75 a night and not worth it. The pictures are all of the re-vamp reception, but the halls and rooms are shoddy and need of repair/restyle/redo! my opinion, for what its worth, stay away unless... more

Looks nice but built and operated to a strict budget. Kids employed almost everywhere. Room unheated till key card inserted. Food unimaginative and expensive. Breakfast mass produced rubbish. A big pool will please some, but for the seasoned budget conscious business traveller, find somewhere else! more

I stayed at the hotel with my two nieces, booked the trip via National Holidays (trip to Cadbury included). I must say we had a great time, food was fab and the staff very helpful. We enjoyed the pool and jacuzzi, my neices loved it and would definately recommend. (pool and facilities very clean). Rooms very very clean and comfortable... more

This hotel is not in a bad location if you have trips to make to either central walsall or north birmingham. The M6 is just a throw away. My room - a family room, had a double bed and a sofa (quite nice to have a sofa to laze on when watching the TV. The room itself - acceptably clean... more

We stayed in this Hotel for 2 nights. Checking on the internet the Hotel looked resonable and clean. Upon arrival our expectations were shattered. We got a very cold welcome from reception, having stood there for a few minutes before we were acknowledged. They had no record of our booking and the receptionist was rude. When we arrived at our... more

Stayed a weekend at this hotel recently, First impressions driving up to the hotel was quite good, it looked clean and very professional. After checking in, we went upto our room only to find that we couldn't get in and had to wait for the manager to come and change the keys... but that was ok and we didn't mind... more

Stayed over for one night in a twin room. I wasn't expecting anything wonderful as the hotel is definitely attracting the casual traveller needing to stay near Birmingham. My room was bare, boring but reasonably clean. Sheets on the bed were slightly stained and threadbare but smelled fresh. Nicely scratched wooden furniture and a pleasant view of the roof were... more
