I booked a 'Hilton' hotel as they were doing a fab 50% off all room prices and so paid £43 for one nights stay in a double room including buffet breakfast. The hotel is very easy to find, and very modern. However, the whole place just seems so soul-less, kinda "house of wax" feel about it. We stayed in an Executive room - very comfy bed, huge LCD tele and homely bathroom. Parking was free and plentiful, and we'd definately return if we're in the area. more

We needed somewhere straightforward and inexpensive to stay between visiting sets of friends. It's a conference hotel on a busy road. Pretty much soulless but the newly renovated rooms were just fine. Was exactly what we needed, nothing more nothing less. We paid eighty pounds for a deluxe double. Update from myself. My previous review wasn't all that positive. But since that review things have changed at the Hilton Watford. They've completed their refurbishment of more bedrooms so there are very few of the "dated" rooms left. So the rooms are clean, comfortable and well equipped. Stayed here on business for one night - a truly abysmal hotel. I stayed in room 271, which had paint flaking off the wall and the bath panel in the bathroom.
