Clean rooms, good location to Watford town centre, excellent breakfast!
While the majority of my experience has been very positive (check in was very efficient, room was beautifully laid out etc), I booked a double room, however has been laid out with two single beds (room 306).
I called reception and the guy working the desk told me the hotel is fully booked. I told him that I was not...

I was looking for a hotel that is reasonably priced but not budget hotel, walking distance to train station, convinient public transportation for Heathrow Airport - and this hotel did have all I listed. London hotels are always expensive due to exchange rate, so I thought just outside of city would be reasonable.
Well, I should have done more reserch.......

Nice plAce not clear parking info, no air con in rooms(or wasn't switched on centrally) breakfast so so bar expensive but ideal for Harry potter exhibition
I stayed there for one night since I was booked for the Harry Potter studio tour. It is very close to watford junction station; you can simply walk to the hotel and back. At the watford junction station, you can also board the bus for the Harry Potter tour. If you are from out of town and going to the...

Atmosphere a bit sterile, but that reflects what I'd expect for this brand in this location - not a criticism!
Reception staff polite, friendly and helpful.
Cooked breakfast a bit on the uninspiring side as far as my other half was concerned, but I...

Holiday Inn have come a long way over the past few years and this hotel does the brand justice. A few steps away from the train and overground station. Easy parking, clean and friendly. Only negative I would say is that it doesn't have wireless in the rooms, just cable.
The hotel runs like clockwork and all our needs were met with a smile. The rooms were clean and welcoming and the buffet breakfast was kept well stocked and the used plates cleared away so the tables were kept clean for each "course". We stayed here because of the Harry Potter Tour but would consider Watford as a base for our...
