My wife and I spent 3 days at the "Keep" to finish off our 3 week tour of Britain. We found our great room and Amanda's warm welcome made up for the rainy weather. We didn't have a car so we spent our time hiking the downs and walking to Bearsted and Detling for pub lunches. The trails on the...

We stayed at Thurnham Keep to attend a friend's 50th birthday locally. Amazing house and a warm, friendly welcome: nothing was too much trouble. We'll definitely be back soon for a weekend break exploring the local countryside.
We really enjoyed our stay! Will go back if we are in the neighbourhood. Beautiful rooms, grounds are fabulous. The black horse pub down the road was fantastic, and had great food. Book in advance during busy times... The keep is in a great location close to Leeds castle, which is a must see.
As always our stay was perfect, our welcome was warm, our breakfast was delicious, our room was beautiful. We will be guests again. Nic & Steve

Thurnham Keep is a great place to stay and to indulge in a great atmosphere. A wonderful retreat in time and space, far away from the wild, wild world.
Amanda is a great host and the place has a great location. It reminded me of a traditional mansion where people like Great Gatsby would enjoy a tea whenever they would...

We have stayed here twice, once in 2006 and once in 2011. We generally like to vary our B&B stays when we travel, but this place is so great we had to return. The home itself is really quite unbelievable. It's large, yet because there are only three guest bedrooms, there is a very homey, intimate feel to it. We've...

When returning from Loughborough we stayed at the Thurnham Keep house overlooking the Maidstone valley. It looked good on the pictures and Tripadvisor had high ratings for it, but in actual fact it was more impressive. The host Amanda has taken the subject of B&B and made it a unique experience. She acts as a real full time host, afternoon...

During a recent visit to Kent, we enjoyed as an absolute highlight to our trip a two night stay to this wonderful place: Thurnham Keep. Wonderful because of our charming hosts, the magnificent country house and its beautiful grounds in a superb hill side setting.
The rooms are superbly decorated, light and with great views, the breakfast was more than...
