We are frequent visitors to this gorgeous hotel for afternoon tea and thought it would be a wonderful venue for a small family wedding. As with all our visits, the staff were very friendly, attentive and the big day went without a hitch. The hotel provided a lovely setting for a classic wedding ceremony and intimate dinner with excellent service.... more

We stayed at Chilston Park last week and can only say that our visit was perfect (to echo many other TripAdvisor postings). Our rooms were in the old part of the inn - four-poster beds in rooms filled w/ museum quality antiques. There are other choices for guests wanting more modern accommodation, but still with class and style - the... more

This review is as much to put people's minds at ease, as it is to praise the wonderful staff, service, and rooms at Chilston Park. My wife and I (and as far as I'm aware every one of our 100 or so guests) had an absolutely amazing time at our exclusive use wedding, in which we booked out the whole... more

We took important clients to the Gourmet dinner , the rooms were very clean and comfortable and well furnished . The service for the pre dinner drinks and during the meal was excellent .I was impressed with the Chef taking time out to explain to us what we would be eating and the same applies for the wine .The meal... more

I booked a night for my parents to celebrate my Father's 60th birthday. They had a fabulous time and thoroughly enjoyed their meal in the restaurant. Their beautiful room was inside the main hotel and they were very impressed with the hotel itself and the restaurant staff in the evening. The only let down was the staff at breakfast, but... more

I stayed here with my husband for one night to celebrate our wedding anniversary because we had been to another Handpicked hotel, Rhinefield House, (new forest) and thought the hotels would be of equivalent quality. Rhinefield is of far superior quality. We had booked a special db&b deal which gave us a complimentary upgrade but the room we were given... more

I was recently a wedding guest at this hotel, and left absolutely appalled. At a hotel of this standing you would expect to get silver service waitressing. We however, had to tell our waitress which plate to use for the bread rolls, and our other waitress smelt of cigarettes. The worst was yet to come however, when I discovered a... more

Chaotic service, rooms only available at 3 pm, constant noise from the motorway and above all, a smell like the carpets in the room would rot made the stay anything but enjoyable. The breakfeast buffet was another let down, as the selection of cheese/ ham was small (i.e. only 2 different sorts of cheese etc.) Only plus was the look... more

I booked a night at this hotel with dinner for my husbands birthday. It was in a lovely rural location, a long sweeping drive and at first glimpse I was impressed. There was a wedding going on when we arrrived but as we went out straight after checking in it didn't make any difference to us. We went to dinner... more
