If you want to sleep on a Saturday night, then avoid this hotel. It is full of noisy young people enjoying the Maidstone night life. Rooms slightly to hot as well. On the plus side, very clean and convenient location.

We enjoyed a pleasant two night stay at this very friendly budget hotel from Saturday 20 September. There was free parking conveniently situated adjacent to the hotel but regrettably nowhere near enough. You are however allowed to park in the Asda car park next door, subject to spaces being available !!!!!!!!! The hotel has its own cafe / coffee shop... More

Not bad, service friendly, location good. Ugly building, and quite noisy at night as it's near a very busy roundabout. Parking was the biggest issue we had really, a lodge of this size only having a handful of parking spaces is a bit daft (a sea of transit vans had already claimed what was on offer) we had to park... Just returned from an overnight stay. Staff very friendly, room modern and clean and a very comfy bed. Didn't sleep too well as traffic noise constant but this isn't the hotels fault plus I am a very light sleeper. A good location and it was nice that this travelodge has its own bar and food area, saves driving around looking... More

We booked the Travelodge in Maidstone as we were in Kent for a birthday party. The hotel sits on the river and is ideally located for the M20 and the M2. Facilities include a bar and simple food that can be purchased to save going out. However the location means that you are within easy walking distance of all the... More

I saw the recent newspaper article about the building, however have these people been in the building? Yes the outside is not very attractive and I agree it could do with a paint however the staff are probably the best I have ever come across, nothing is too much trouble for them...nice to have little chats and the assistant manager... This hotel hasn't been in Maidstone for that many years, but already its an eyesore. Shortly after it was built, brown stains appeared on the outside of the building, which as it appears to be designed as a multi pack toilet roll, isn't a good look. After prolonged scaffolding shortly after it was built it appeared pristine again. Unfortunately, this... More

On arrival the hotel looked OK but after entering I found it was dirty, the management were rude and one particular member of staff at the front desk had a terrible attitude problem, she was not very friendly at all, the cups in the rooms were dirty, the bathrooms looked unclean, there were hairs in my bed, and was kept... Accessibility is very good in the centre of Maidstone. One disadvantage of this is that traffic noise in the early morning can bring disturbance if you want o sleep with the window open. Staff were excellent and very helpful. Car park is not large so advise early check in if you want a space
