Friendly and helpful staff and a definate locals pub which adds to the atmosphere. Food is great and a lovely breakfast, great value for money. Pub car park is quite small but there is loads of free parking very close by and with a reasonable selection of real ales why bother going anywhere else.

staff indifferent on arrival, and on the hottest day of the year the radiator at the entrance to the accommodation block was piping hot. I had to move the bed to retrieve a dropped key - big mistake! There were weeks if not months of detritus under the bed. Bathroom shoddy. But at least the breakfast was wholesome.

Lovely old pub.... staff very friendly.. must add the 8oz Angus burger. This is the best burger i have ever tasted.... so so filling . There is a good choice of all kinds of food on menu. Food very reasonably priced. Pub looks small from outside. But once inside you can see loads of spaces in the distance.

stayed here for 2 nights, lovely building clean well equipt rooms staff are friendly (although didn't seem to bothered if you enjoyed your stay) only down point is that it's incredibly noisy at night we had a room overlooking the pub garden and people screaming and shouting till gone 1am which isn't ideal if you need to be up early... Lovely, traditional English pub in historical town of Stony Stratford. Very comfortable rooms complete with all facilities and....beams. Had an evening meal which was delicious (good veggie choice) and live entertainment. Breakfast was very good with plenty of choice. Stayed for one night but I would stay again.

This is a true gem in the middle of Stoney Stratford, its a lovely old Pub full of history and very quirky - they serve some nice Ales and the food is of a good standard and at reasonable prices. Have always found the staff helpful and friendly. Cant comment on the rooms as i have never stayed here.

Stayed recently and while there is much to commend the Old George, it needs bit of work in the bedrooms. First the good. It is 500 years old, creaky, quirky and it is easy to imagine being there in 1715. The staff were great. Very friendly, helpful and the breakfast in the morning was excellent although it starts at 7,... More

Stayed for 2 nights and will return! Had a great time at this old inn. The room was cosy and quirky, clean and comfortable. The food was very, very good and the drinks were plentiful. Had a welcoming atmosphere with friendly, helpful staff. Not luxury class but who needs luxury when you have charm and warmth

This is the second time I have stayed at the Old George, we will start with the staff/welcome-\first Class, everyone was most helpful and friendly, the food esp. the breakfast is excellent. the rooms are by the nature of this very old building, are a little quirky, but are well equipped and comfortable, what more could you ask? one minor moan is...
