This hotel is just minutes from the mess of Milton Keynes is a little village oasis, nice church next door and village pub. The hotel is nice and cosy, my room was excellent ( i was upgraded) on the ground floor with doors onto the garden. The bar area was pleasant and nicely decorated and the general feel was relaxed,... Overall this is a good hotel but it is let down by some niggling details. I stayed in a Privilege room which had lots of space and a very comfortable bed and sofa. The Nespresso machine and free soft drinks are a nice touch. However the bath was on the small side - I couldn't sit with legs fully stretched... More

Had an absolute amazing day at the Alice in wonderland themed afternoon tea party with the birthday girls Amanda & Marie.... Even if we did manage to rock up to the wrong hotel at first, to be given the most amazing service and a tour, unknowing to us that we will be leaving shortly after the tour to the hotel... More

Everything about our stay was perfect except for the very thin walls to our coach house room. We could hear every word from next door which was disturbing at midnight and early morning ! We also did not have a window, just a skylight. Our family members had a nice big room in the main building with room for a... More

We stayed at this hotel in May 2015. The hotel has been recently refurbished to an excellent standard and both the public areas and the bedroom were very well appointed. Room was well equipped and newly decorated. Bed was fantastic, comfy and good pillows. Bathroom was again excellent and plenty big enough. Free wifi throughout the hotel. We had a... More

Don't expect a lie in here. They start hoovering at 7:30am on a Sunday morning. Room was clean with a good size bathroom. Three course set menu was very nice but portions were quite small. Wine was expensive, about £24 a bottle. Communal areas of hotel decorated to a good standard. Set in nice grounds with plenty of parking.

Been disappointed with several recent hotels in MK - tried this place and was pleasantly surprised. Offered an upgraded room to one newly decorated - very nice. Very tasty evening meal (bar food) and fabulous breakfast - all cooked to order and not warmed on a buffet hot-plate as is so often the case. Overall - very good, does not... More

Lovely setting and an historic building in a quiet rural setting. Mostly used for conference business, but I was travelling on my own. Problems began at check-in, which took nearly twenty minutes, mostly because there was only one person on duty to serve a long queue of people arriving. Complex procedure and old IT evidently did not help either. There... More

Located in a pretty village, this hotel is a bit of a hidden gem on the outskirts of Milton Keynes. We got the acccommodation on a deal so was excellent value for money.
