We lunched here on Wednesday. Surprised to find how quiet it was. Only two other tables occupied. After half an hour we were on our own. Probably very busy at weekends and holidays. Nonetheless it was a great lunch. Table service was superb, if not charming. Sirloin steaks were cooked just as we like them. Dessert was good. Value for... More

We stayed at this Inn with a separate accommodation block for one night prior to visiting Bletchley Park. Good food, tasty ales and great company added up to a very satisfactory experience. Although a bottle of hand soap was provided in the bathrooms, basic toiletries were not (so beware regular hotel guests). The simple solution of course is to take... More

Went to this pub for Sunday lunch with our friends who live in Stony Stratford. There wasn't loads of choice on the menu but we all decided on the Sunday lunch which was roast lamb, for £8.95. I must say that the lamb was excellent, very tender and it melted in the mouth, the vegetables were also very well cooked... More

We live fairly locally and have always been told that this pub did amazing food so thought we would try it today. I have to say we were both disappointed we both had fish and chips which at £9.95 needs to be good and it was distinctly average fish was over cooked with too much batter fish was served on... More

We stayed he for our silverstone weekend the new owners were very friendly towards us on arrival it was as if we new them from old, this year we only had breakfast as we weren't back for evening meals, the breakfast was lovely and plenty of it. The room is clean and tidy with a great hot shower, recommended.

My husband and I stayed on Fathers Day weekend in June for 2 nights - Saturday and Sunday. We were visiting Bletchley Park and wanted somewhere quiet that wasn't too far away. The pub is in a quiet rural setting near Calverton Manor and overlooks fields with sheep and cows. The accommodation is separate to the pub and there is... More

Used to come to this pub all the time when I was a kid, but this was the first time I'd been there for about 15 years when I was back in Milton Keynes on business. I found the staff to be friendly and accommodating. The food was good pub grub and good value for money. They also had a... More

We use this pub often to have a drink and have eaten here before, it is a lovely pub and has great views, the beer is great, just spoilt by a rather rude landlady or one of them, have had conversations with the other 2, but the other lady seems to be quite rude, and it's a real shame, maybe...
