Reviewing a day early before I have left. I have enjoyed my stay and for the price an absolutely fantastic find. Very comfortable and clean and for a longer stay fantastic to be welcomed back to a clean room every night and an extremely comfortable bed. Food is superb, I would have eaten every night but I wanted some variety.... More

If you're wanting the fleshpots and ginpalaces of Milton Keynes, this is somewhat out of the way, in a quiet village. The taxi driver hadn't a clue and I had to use my phone to give directions even though it's only a few miles from the main station. Or maybe that was more of a comment on his local knowledge,... Lovely little place near MK. Rooms are nice, food is good (nice fresh ingrediants) and the staff are very friendly. The only downside for me was no wifi in the rooms. I would defiantly stay again and Stony Straford is 5 mins drive away.

Very friendly staff, customer service spot on. The food was excellent and value for money, would definitely recommend it to friends and family. We have visited this pub many times over a lot of years and it has varied in its service with different owners but I would like to say that the lovely people who are now running it have... Went here for an impromptu meal after managing to get after my op. service was prompt(without being hurried) and friendly.choce of menus and beers available. All food we ordered was cooked fresh and well presented. Will revisit if in the area.

The accommodation is separate to the pub, and we weren't bothered by any noise, despite all rooms being booked out. The bedrooms and bathrooms are basic but clean. The highlight here is the fantastic food, some of the best we had on our 4 week trip! Worth going here for the food. Quiet area in a small village.

We chose location as a halfway point to meet up with family. Lovely area with loads of places to visit nearby. Friendly staff and good menu. We ate in both nights as food was so good.. Breakfast is great value As per other reviews accommodation clean and comfortable but does need a spruce up in the bathroom. A few more... More

A small but comfortable pub accomodation. Public house separate from rooms so very quiet. Food excellent good selection. Friendly staff. The only down side is that the rooms need updating. Pricing reflects this. Overall a good experience.

We dropped in here after some shopping & found the place meandering through the countryside late Sunday lunch time. They squeezed us in despite not having booked & we had the best sandwiches we have had for ages.. Chips great too. Staff friendly & helpful, place very welcoming.. Just my style..
