The staff were warm and very friendly during my stay there, breakfast was plentiful and in the main pub area. My room was a twin and was adequate for one night although it was on the small side and had no double glazing so was cold overall, but the heater that was provided in there took the chill off during... Been staying here for the last 4 weeks after trying a couple of hotels prior. Great bar and the food is brilliant (especially the lasagne)! Serves a brilliant pint of Timmy Taylor landlord. Rooms are homely, kept to a good standard. Bathroom cold and shower a bit dodgy because of curtain rather than cubical. TV very small which is the... More

It's been 20+ years since I last visited this pub, wow what a transformation. A friendly welcome from owners and staff, a very good meal, not rushed at all. The food was freshly cooked and we actually asked to speak to the chef at the end of evening to thank him. A young chef with a huge future ahead of... More

If the rooms were warm and inviting, inc bathroom, TV a normal size and a shower cubicle fitted around the tray on the floor, I would be back like a shot. Seemed to have no idea what to do when the fire alarm went off at 6am? ! Get these sorted as they let you down on all your great... More

Thank you for your comments, we appreciate the time you have taken to provide us with some feedback. We have been in the premises for just over 12 months and are aware that we need to refurbish our accommodation. We are currently looking into this and hopefully will be in a position to start the refurbishment in the new year. More

We popped in for Sunday Lunch with our three small children. The staff were excellent and we were given a lovely window seat overlooking the church and made to feel truly welcome. Food was delicious. Will return soon and highly recommend. A gem.

We lunched here on Wednesday. Surprised to find how quiet it was. Only two other tables occupied. After half an hour we were on our own. Probably very busy at weekends and holidays. Nonetheless it was a great lunch. Table service was superb, if not charming. Sirloin steaks were cooked just as we like them. Dessert was good. Value for... More

We stayed at this Inn with a separate accommodation block for one night prior to visiting Bletchley Park. Good food, tasty ales and great company added up to a very satisfactory experience. Although a bottle of hand soap was provided in the bathrooms, basic toiletries were not (so beware regular hotel guests). The simple solution of course is to take... More

Went to this pub for Sunday lunch with our friends who live in Stony Stratford. There wasn't loads of choice on the menu but we all decided on the Sunday lunch which was roast lamb, for £8.95. I must say that the lamb was excellent, very tender and it melted in the mouth, the vegetables were also very well cooked... More
