Was looking forward to our trip for ages and staying at the Hilton. Food was great, although crowded dining room, unfortunately we made the mistake of booking a smoking room. That's when things took a turn for ther worse. All our friends had non smoking rooms and were all happy with the cleanliness of their rooms. But from the second we... more
The MK Hilton is always such a let down, There are never enough tables at breakfast - I've been kept waiting so long that I had to go off to a meeting with no brekker in the past - and it just has a general down-at-heel feeling. The photos in the brochure make the pool look inviting, but it's actually... more
We had a very good weekend apart from the restaurant/bar service. The arrangements for our family party of 25 regarding prebooking and rooms was just as we wanted. The pool facility for the children was excellent. However - when we arrived the interconnecting doors in bedrooms were locked but door to the garden unlocked. The cot requested had not been... more
Like others before me, I had expectations of grandeur when I was booked into ‘the Hilton’ at Milton Keynes. It is amazing what subliminal advertising can do! Driving into the car park I observed a large cycle touring group milling around. This was not quite what I had expected (not that I have anything against cyclists!) and this started to... more
Good hotel, not as classy as some Hiltons. Staff friendly, rooms ok. Got lost getting there and not really near anything. Stayed there en route to Silverstone races. Good food in restaurant but bench seats too low and I hurt my back. Would stay there again. more
I read some negative reviews, however I still decided to give this Hilton a chance (eventhough I am a Holiday Inn Platinum card holder). Well, i am NOT sorry at all I stayed at this Hilton. If you are coming for business, and would like to relax before/after work, then this is your hotel. It has a Livingwell health club... more
The hotel is a really difficult one to find. Although I had prepared myself with directions beforehand, any similarity between my map and the Milton Keynes road layout was entirely coincidental. Had I not asked a resting taxi driver for directions, I would have struggled to find the place. We were staying just one night, visiting family in the area,... more
We spent two nights recently at this hotel. The room was in need of refurbishment - stained carpet, broken cupboard handle, cigarette burn on bedside table, cracked fittings in bathroom. On arrival, there was only one bedside lamp, the ceiling light didn't work, nor was the towel rail working. These last three problems were sorted out when requested by very... more
What a wonderful treat we had. We got a B & B deal for £59 per night for four nights. Yes the rooms were a bit travel lodge but the towels etc were definatley much better. The staff were wonderful, many ffrom overseas but with impecable english. They could not have been more helpful in all departments and areas of... more
