Just come back from a night at the apollo hotel , at first we were a bit worried about the noise from the traffic as the hotel was on a roundabout but this was not a problem during the night , the room was really good with freeview television with all the channels. The breakfast was self service with everything... more

We book this hotel every year for the Annual Dinner of the Historic Lotus Club. Most members arrive early, enjoy the facilities and stay the night. The staff are totally first class and nothing seems too much trouble for them, particularly Sarah and Simon and their teams. The dinner this year was nothing short of excellent, so our thanks go... more

My partner and I stayed at the Apollo Hotel on the 19th September as a convenient stop off place to catch up with some friends prior to visiting the Southampton Boat Show. We booked an overnight stay for £45 through Laterooms (with no breakfast) and were expecting a Travelodge-esque hotel based on the price and location. The cheap cost and... more

The Apollo is the best value for money hotel in Basingstoke. I'll be the first to agree the 4* AA rating is dubious, but not for the picky reasons I've read in other reviews of this hotel. As mentioned in previous postings, the hotel is easy to get to, just off the ring road at the Aldermaston roundabout. What this... more

It was very easy to find (directly off a roundabout), with plenty of free parking. There are two restaurants and a bar. The food prices were what you would expect of a 4* hotel. Vespers restuarant was £28 for 3 courses and there was the brassery that I didn't see until I had breakfast in it! I opted for room... more

The location is very good for getting about, big car park as well, and the weekend rates are great value. We booked on hotel website rooms from £50 a night The hotel clealy caters for lots of buisness people... more

Stayed here while attending a friends wedding locally. In general you have a typical average business hotel which has grown and expanded in all directions. Room was very reasonably priced and in good condition but a fair 5 minute walk to reception and the car park. We had breakfast on both mornings and can pretty much say it was the... more

I stayed here one night before a training event. The hotel is situated on a corner close to three major roads, so lots of traffic noise. It's also way out in the suburbs, so unless you've got a car, you've only got the hotel for leisure and entertainment. There is a good pool and fitness centre and the main rooms... more

My boyfriend and I stayed here for a weekend break. The front desk and reception area were smart and checking in was easy enough, but did have to wait a few mins to check in, as our room was not ready yet - we got there after 2pm. We were in room 213, and the room was small, but nothing... more

We decided to book our stay in the Apollo, as we had personally been told how great it was, as well as reading Tripadvisor reviews. On first impression, the Hotel seemed to lack atmosphere or character, it was clean & orderly, but dull and bland. Our room was adequate. There was only one extra pillow. I rang to request another,... more
