Stayed at the Hilton Basingstoke as part of a Legoland package. The hotel was ok- the camp bed we requested was already made up as we arrived. The room was fairly dingy with an unimpressive standard of furniture and a smallish television. The restaurant did an acceptable buffet breakfast. We didn't have any problems but the hotel was nothing special. more

i have never stayed at a hilton before and i have to say as i was on my own for this visit i couldn`t have been made more welcome. my room was huge and spotless, the freebee meal choice was excellent and the breakfast, well i could have just stayed there all day and ate, cholesterol permitting, however the wedding... more

This is the 2nd time I have stayed here (previously 3 yrs ago) and I should have learnt my lesson. Firstly check-in was a long wait as was checking out. My husband had previously booked with his credit card and I gave mine just for "pre-authorisation" but when it came to settling my bill they had used my credit card... more

We booked a 3 day break with Legoland holidays and we had a wonderful stay at the Hilton, Basingstoke. We had a family room which consisted of a large double bed and a sofa bed which was already made up when we arrived. The bathroom was nice and clean and had plenty of freebies. The room was clean and nicely... more

I stay here occasionally when I do business in Basingstoke. I'd much rather stay elsewhere, but as is often the case when travelling on business, I opt for the path of least resistance. The positives: * staff are all very friendly and courteous. * English breakfast is decent. * The offer (albeit overpriced) internet access. * They are walking distance... more

Just returned from a 1 night stay with my son. Firstly, booked an inexpensive room rate through flybmi.com. I normally use the hilton website, but had just joined their loyalty scheme. Booked a family room, requested an upgrade as a diamond, but not available in this type of room. The room was large for us, bed each, typical hilton decor-... more

We went to legoland on a 2 day deal and stayed in this hotel. We found the service to be of a good standard as were the rooms. My only criticisum was the prices charged at the bar. We found the rooms were clean and the breakfast was excellent with a wide range of food available. I would go back. If... more

Maybe I should have heeded the views of the other Tripadvisor Members and booked somewhere else. "Delux" room definately not, the so called working space might have suited a very tolerant child.certainly not somewhere to do some work in comfort. I made the mistake of ordering room service, the "Hilton Burger" £14 for a bun with a couple of bits of... more

The good: the service and quality of food in the restaurant, the bed The bad: tiny gym, no elevator, location, The ugly: the noisy creaky floorboards, staff at reception, the whole town of Basingstoke What a depressing stay. This is a motel and not a very good one. Diamond members are offered a "bottle of wine" (1/2 bottle of plonk)... more

Booked over the internet. Booked a deluxe package with the aim to have a nice stay. never used this hotel before but by the site sounded a comfortable place to stay. on entering the room we found we had a double bed when we had paid for a queen bed. we had one bath robe for the two of us... more
