Arrived home from our 2 night stay at the Rivington lodge and I've got to say I've never been so happy to see my own bed! So we arrived, checked in at the spar in the services, it looked a little shabby and tired from the outside but I wasn't expecting the ritz anyway. The entrance had a very odd... More

we found no lights on in the building, a note was on the entrance stating you need to go into the SPAR shop to book in. A very rude girl gave us he key. There was no body on reception in the hotel. The room was not as described in the details. The mattress stank of smoke. n going into... More

I stayed at this hotel with my boyfriend twice during November; we came back because we were pleased with the location and the quality of the room. The first time we paid £30 for a double room, then £35 for a family room the second time as there were no double rooms left. It's an ex Travelodge so it still... More

We stayed here with our 2 kids for one night when visiting friends in Bolton. The room had a comfy double bed and comfy double sofa bed. Flat screen TV. Tea/coffee facilities and a fantastic power shower. Clean, basic and functional. Staff at the spar where you get the key are really helpful. Starbucks. Subway. Burger King on site and... More

Always a pleasure stopping here. Functional, standard, tidy, quick service. There is no reception, its all keycard. Nice and easy. You get exactly what the £29.99 pays for. a good bed, good room and good access

My partner and a group of friends found the Rivington lodge on late rooms for the bargain price of £29 for the night as we were travelling to a festival we wanted a place to stay for the night. As we arrived we were a bit confused about where to check in as there is no reception within the hotel.... More

Stopped just for one night and definitely won't stop there again. Bath mouldy. Room not very clean but a reasonable size. It is a shame as located right next to a Spar and Subway and the man who checked us in at the Spar was very helpful. You get what you pay for and it was cheap.
