Went to Brew house for lunch was very disappointed in the meal. We had the Cheese pie which was not even close to a cheese pie. More like soup with a layer of crust on top. The mushy peas were dried up as though they were cooking them all day. They also happen to run out of garden peas. We... More

This is the third time we've eaten here and I must say we've never been disappointed. The menu and the food is good and the staff always polite and not over attentive. Today I had the suet pudding and it was exceptionally good. All in all it's a great little pub with a good range of ale as well. Top... More

On arrival, which wasn't easy to park your car as the sign detailing that it was a very sharp turning a few hundred metres back I was greeted by two very pleasant young girls at the bar. I was taken outside up some stairs to my room, stair full of puddles from the constant rain that day. I was given... More

Wanted somewhere local to celebrate our sons graduation with a family meal and this was first rate! Booked only an hour before and was one of the first to arrive in the restaurant area at teatime but was served with drinks and our order for food was taken very quickly when food came everything was excellent and very good value... I've stayed in the rooms here a few times in the last couple of years and it's always been a nice place, and conveniently situated in the north of Bolton. I was there again this week and,was once again fine and excellent value for the price. Except this time, there was no milk in the fridge, no butter for the... More

I do have a couple of gripes, but this is a great little place to stay. Read the whole review please. Stayed here on a Saturday and Sunday night with my husband as he was participating in the Ironman challenge (his second one, the nutter managed to finish again). Very nice welcome upon arrival into the pub and had a... More

I have been doing business in Bolton for the last 4 months and I can promise you that most of the hotels are rubbish. So I took to staying in central Manchester. Wish I'd discovered this earlier. Nice area. Welcoming staff. Great atmosphere. Good food and perfectly ok room. At £50 a night this is good value. Highly recommended.

Unfortunately some of the menu was not available when we arrived. But the service and staff more than made up for any disappointment we may have felt initially. Nothing is too much for the girls here. There has been a menu change recently and small portions have been removed off the menu. I am not not sure If this is... More

Spent 5 nights in this delightful B&B. Easy to find location. Staff is very friendly. You pay upon arrival. Continental breakfast is included which is more than adequate. The breakfast is in the room so you are not tied to any hours.... everything gets replenished daily. The rooms are spacious and with ensuite bathroom: spotless. The only thing which I... More
