I booked this as part of a stay and park offer on Holiday Extras, as it was financially and locationally good, on paper at least. And yes the location was decent for the Purple Parking zone, but the hotel itself is very poor. We were given a room in the Sussex block out the back of the main hotel, which... More

I booked to stay in the Ramada in advance of a business meeting because the location looked good; I choose to travel without a car (odd to many I know, but you should try it). I therefore ignored the comments by other reviewers on the "safety" of the car park. At home, I park my car in a thing called... More

Thomson holidays recommended our stay here the night before we flew from Gatwick Airport, avoid at all costs, terrible hotel in a run down area, car park is used for washing cars and the hotel block we were given was awlful, dark, dingy and nasty. Took 15 mins for someone on reception to acknowldege us and there is load music... More

Please be fair warned... This hotel has awarded itself a 4 star rating on the accommodation website I used so I booked it for my husband and I so we could avoid a long drive home after a very late flight arrival into LGW which we were on last night. It has to be said that the car park, where... More

This hotel is ok for a cheap sleepover before an early gatwick flight. It is close to a number of reasonable restaurants and pubs. Reception was friendly and welcoming. But .., the car park is next to a car wash with young men with nothing to do hanging around. It may be safe but doesn't feel it. The room, in... More

Can you get better than this place for the money? I sincerely doubt it, it was £70.00 for bed and a full English breakfast, the room was huge, the wi-fi was free, the bed was comfortable and the bathroom and shower were great. I eat in the Japanese restuarant which was very good, I will go again. The only minus... More

This was the hotel we chose to stay for one night when my brother and I traveled to UK for the first time (sorry, this was like 3 years ago but i still felt obliged to leave a rating). Since it was the first time traveling to UK, we didn't know a thing and chose this hotel at the last... More

My general impression from a one night stay is that the rooms in the Sussex Suite are beyond their sell by date. The ceiling in the bathroom was cracked with paint peeling and the glass skylight was also cracked. I could not say that the room was not clean but the décor was clearly old and dark giving a rather... More

Was just looking for a cheap overnight place and got this charming, antique surprise more than worth its money. Nice, clean room, comfortable beds, waterboiler pluss tea and coffee in the room. Unfortunately we did not try the breakfast, as we had to leave really early in the morning to catch our plane from Gatwick. Local bus no 10 is... More

A perfect hotel & location for pre flight from gatwick, staff friendly & room very clean & plenty of room. The biggest bonus is the amount of restaurants & pubs directly outside the hotel would definitely recommend to anybody wanting to fly from gatwick or just visiting Crawley. It's also a lovely old building even tho the surrounding area isn't... More
