Stayed here for one night midweek as a family of 4, our children aged 5 and 2. Room was lovely, perfectly adequate for our needs. The outdoor play area, although a little rustic kept our children amused for hours. We ate in the hotel in the evening and the food was lovely, as was the breakfast. Staff were helpful and... More

Having stayed in numerous hotels and bed and breakfasts on my travels it made a refreshing change to find one of such quality in an ideal location, the food and service in the pub was nothing but outstanding and every need was catered for, would not hesitate to recommend this location to one and all, the owners and staff deserve... We stayed Mon-Sat, and the room was cleaned daily. Breakfast was lovely and freshly cooked to your order, and enough to keep you going all day. The bar gets very busy as popular, so if intending to have an evening meal, worth booking a table. The portions are huge, and the puddings divine....you cannot watch your waistline here! The food... Staying in Coalport and ate here on the 19th. Overall - excellent. The pub is busy but they accommodated us no problem. The portion size was huge! They served rice and chips with most things. However, the quality was also good and excellent value. Good for kids and the staff were excellent with my 2.

Stayed in a cottage in Ironbridge with a disabled gentleman in a wheelchair. The cottage literature had said visit Shakespeare inn as the food was good. We went on a Tuesday night early about 7.10 pm. We duly parked and supported our gentleman to transfer from his car to his wheelchair. We found a spot in garden courtyard in front... More

Loved this place. Placed good in the middle of Ironbridge Gorge area and very close to the Tar tunnel and the China museum. Friendly staff, good food in the pub (not the standard pub menu - much better). Seems to be a lot of locals dropping by as well which adds to the genuine feeling of the place. Room was... More

Some friends and we two stayed here for three nights. The rooms were reasonably spacious and well furnished. Although they were on the main road, we were not disturbed at night. We had been warned on arrival that a big party were dining that evening, so we got to a table at eight. The whole downstairs was absolutely heaving, and... More

We didn't stop overnight but enjoyed a well cooked, well presented meal on a very busy evening. There was a large party already in place when we arrived, and another expected an hour later [apparently to do with the end of the school year] so we were a bit concerned that it may affect the service. Though the staff were... More

I booked this Inn for 3 couples as a good place to stay to tour Ironbridge in particular & surrounding countryside. Couldn't have been better placed in the tranquil Shropshire countryside. All the rooms were clean and well maintained. The food was very good with large portions and breakfast was excellent. To top it all, the staff were truly excellent,... More

A really beautiful location in the Iron Bridge Gorge area of Shropshire and a wonderful, small inn. The pub/restaurant is excellent ... very large portions of freshly cooked food with loads of choice on the menu. Breakfast is in the pub/restaurant and is also of exceptional quality (and quantity!). The hotel only has four rooms and it is extremely clean... More
