Overpriced, and definitely not for anyone looking for a holiday base - utterly lacking in any charm. Grubby towels with suspicious stains, damp in bathroom, rusted shower rail...all this, and based miles from anywhere to escape to. The worst hotel in England, we stayed in room one!! The door wasnt able to lock and we had to wait 2 hours for someone to fix it. The safe didnt work. The Receptionist was a liar and told us there were no more rooms for sale... then sold one infront of me on the phone! The TV wasnt working... more

We stayed at the Telford Whitehouse as a halfway point stop off on a trip down south. We arrived early evening and just behind a group of 6/7 people so had to wait a while, the receptionist was very efficient and dealt with the other guests quickly then apologised for keeping us waiting. I booked this hotel on the 'balance of probabilities' having read mixed reviews on TA. This is a comfortable and good priced hotel which I booked on the day of my stay. My Husband and I booked in for the one night prior to attending the V festival. On the whole this is a nice enough hotel situated on the same site as Telford football club. The rooms are pretty big and were clean. The food was okay.
