I found The Pheasant on the web, as I was looking for somewhere to stay that didn't mind our dog! No problem here. When we arrived, Clive was not expecting us, either his fault or ours, but it wasn't a problem. He took our cases up and brought us up a nice tray of tea and encouraged us to help... More

Our wonderful hosts Sue and Clive went out of their way to provide great food,atmosphere and surroundings for our pre christmas family get together. Catering for guests, whose ages ranged from 1 to 70 years,everyone found something yummy on the menue and we all enjoyed our dining (and drinking)experience. My husband and i read the "recomendations" Page of the website prior to booking. After finding the place in darkness (no lighting outside) we attempted the front door - unfortunately we couldn't gain entry. Having finally located the rear car park - we made several attempts to find the correct door. Again no lighting. Upon entering the dimly lit narrow... More

Couldn't find hotel in the dark. Had there been a sign on the building we would have found it much sooner. To the rear of the property was the carpark with a confusing choice of unmarked doors to enter the building.
