I booked this B&B instead of a hotel while attending to a training. Very clean, recently redecorated and VERY, VERY quiet! Excellent if you've got to study a few hundred pages! :) Room William was ideal for that and breakfast was also very good!! Recommended!

Rosemary & Adrian are excellent hosts and we were very pleased to manage to book a room in their lovely home again this year. Their beautiful B & B is an oasis of calm a stone's throw from the Telford International Centre, where we were attending an event. I would not hesitate to recommend the Old Rectory of St James... Amazing afternoon tea on arrival and a warm welcome. Room was beautifully furnished, with good shower and fluffy dressing gowns. The breakfast was great and it was nice to meet the other regular guests. Local shops are about 10 minutes walk. Thank you for a great stay.

My husband and I have just returned from Shropshire and 2 nights spent at this absolutely stunning B&B! After a warm welcome from Adrian and Rosemary, we were served delicious tea and cakes in front of a glorious fire! Our room, Besselow, was fantastic, with a very comfortable king size bed. The room itself was decorated beautifully and the on-suite... More

My boyfriend and I stayed at the Old Rectory of St James for one night. We were taking part in an OCR event in Wolverhampton but wanted to stay somewhere a little more peaceful & serene. We found exactly what we were after here and more. The grounds are beautiful, the rooms are stunning and the food is absolutely divine.... More

We arrived slightly early at the Old Rectory of St James for our son’s birthday weekend and were welcomed by the proprietors with tea and a selection of home baked cakes, which we thoroughly enjoyed in front of the open fire in one of two guest lounges. Both Adrian and Rosemary were absolutely delightful and the accommodation is beautiful, and... More

The Old Rectory of St James is an oasis. It was the perfect location for us to visit family and friends in the area and revisit many of the local attractions such as Ironbridge. Rosemary and Adrian are superb hosts, the house is beautiful and Rosemary is a superb cook. Her breakfasts are the best and small touches such as... More

We stayed for three nights. Rosemary and Adrain made us so very welcome. A perfect retreat for a few days respite. My husband and I had the Besselow room, so cosy, sitting under a lovely duvet on a very cold morning drinking our cup of tea in bed and eating lovely home-made cookies overlooking their pretty gardens. Breakfast was absolutely... More

Stayed over 2 nights for work locally. A real find, quiet, comfortable, delicious food, friendly people. The visitors lounge with a log fire was perfect for relaxing after a busy day and the homemade cake was delish. Couldn't fault it!

Hosts are excellent, friendly, helpful and accommodating. A warm, welcoming refuge with excellent room and breakfast of home made/locally sourced food. Do yourself a favour and stay here rather than a soulless mass market budget hotel.
