We arrived fairly late, after a long drive but we were still greeted by our hosts - Adrian and Rosemary - with a delicious home-made cream tea. Our room was on the ground floor, with it's own entrance and exit, and was attractively and very comfortably furnished. The attached shower-room was also well fitted and furnished. Our hosts recommended a... More

Arrived in the evening, pulled onto the drive to be greeted by a smiling welcoming host. We were shown to our beautifully decorated room, spotlessly clean and well appointed. We asked for a recommendation for a evening meal and was shown a list complete with postcodes, Adrian and Rosemary have thought of everything, in our room were fresh cut roses,... More

We stayed here for three nights and were thoroughly spoiled by Rosemary and Adrian. Nothing was too much trouble for them, and when they found out that I was there over my birthday we found a cake with a candle in our room on our return from our day out. The garden is a work of art, the rooms are... More

We had a wonderful experience at The Old a Rectory. Relaxing, friendly and due another vist. The room was clean, beautifully decorated and sooooo comfortable. The gardens were delightful and the icing on the cake was David Austin roses in every room!

Adrian and Rosemary made us feel very welcome and were perfect hosts. From the home made scones and cake when we arrived, through to the fantastic full english breakfast next morning! Our room was beautifully decorated with great attention to detail, and wonderful views of their lovely garden! Would definitely recommend anyone to stay here, and can't wait to return!

This B & B is off the scale as far as hospitality and comfort. The breakfast was outstanding and the hosts are warm, friendly and totally made our stay. Can't wait to return. Sad we only stayed for one night.

We were delighted by the lovely house and accommodation at the Old Rectory. Adrian and Rosemary are super team who pay great attention to details that really made our stay special, from the wonderful home-baked cake and biscuits to the beautifully kept garden.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
A warm welcome awaits at this quintessentially English Guest House. The ideal choice for Business and Pleasure. Rosemary and Adrian are delighted to welcome you to this period Georgian Guest House, set in a quiet oasis, close to the bustling centre of Telford, the footpaths over the Shropshire hills and historic Ironbridge. Originally the Rectory of St James' Church from the 17th century to about 1975, it now provides quality bed and breakfast accommodation, with charm and character, and that little bit extra. We delight in providing a convivial atmosphere where the simple things are done well; a vase of fresh flowers in your room: a tray of home made cakes that greets you on your arrival: a well cooked breakfast of locally produced ingredients with homemade bread and jams plus eggs from our own hens. ... more   less
