I booked in and the receptionist was a lovely young lady polite and helpful. But it ended there, the tired 1970's decor in the rooms in no way matches the pictures on the web page. - The complimentary toiletries consisted of some foul smelling gunk in a dispenser on the wall - no shower cap - the shower ran cold. The... more

Telford is seriously lacking a decent restaurant and now the Park Inn has changed its menu to a boil in the bag approach. No fresh veg and lots of deep fat frying. Prices have gone up and the quality has gone down - who do they think they are kidding. Staff are nice and friendly but does not make up... more

We stayed at the Park Inn in Telford for one short night in August, 2009. We also stayed at Telford Hotel & Golf Resort and the International Hotel during our trip to Telford. If I were to visit Telford again, I would rather spend the extra £15 per night for staying at the 4 star Telford Hotel & Golf Resort,... more

A different type of travel hotel, very plesant staff, all staff seemed to be local too, again unusual, comfortable rooms, clean and airy. Right in the middel of a bizzare one-way system. more

We moved 3 rooms all of lacked the basic of housekeeping - dirty is not the word. Bathrroms in all 3 rooms were mouldy, rusting shower rail, mouldy shower curtain. The staff in the hotel seemed as interested in the pride in the hotel as the housekeeping staff, which is hardly suprising. As shame that once upon time this hotel... more

Knew that refurbishment was on the cards so went with that in mind. Found staff friendly, helpful and courteous. Room v. comfortable and quiet. Breakfast good quality, lots of choice and constantly filled up hotplates etc. Would return without hesitation. more

We, the 11th Hussars Old Comrades Association, have held our annual reunion at the Park Inn for about 10 years. While there has been the odd moan and groan about some aspects, the hotel has, in general, looked after us very well, bearing in mind anything number from 150 to 200 people attend. This does include a number of wives,... more

This hotel looked quite nice I went but the rooms (I had 2 - was moved from the first!) were grubby. The carpet was old and dirty, the windows in no way soundproof (it's on a main road), the furniture was outdated and dusty. The bathroom was mouldy and the shower wouldn't turn off (you need to use a towel... more

You would normally expect to do OK staying in a Hotel such as a Park Inn; not anything special but the basics should be right. You would be wrong. Check-in gives a false impression of the hotel - the reception area actually looks presentable. When you get to your room you realise that first impressions can be deceptive. The rooms... more
